"A stunning vessel, with performance to match."
This description just scratches the surface of what makes Mauliola unique. With no expense spared, this vessel is the real deal. Excelling in every category - looks, speed, safety, quality, comfort, seaworthiness - she is truly a cut above.
State-of-the-art Morrelli & Melvin hull shapes, a powerful sail plan and efficient set up for shorthanded sailing make this swift boat a capable, offshore luxury cruising catamaran - which can be easily and safely sailed short-handed, and realize up to 30 knots sailing speeds.
A four cabin layout with modern and customized interior appointments comfortably takes you and your guests to your destination of choice - whether your plans include cruising locally or sailing off to the most secluded islands. All of this, with systems designed to be as 'green' and energy efficient as possible.
The M&M 65 represents the best in performance cruising catamarans. A product of the Morrelli & Melvin Design & Engineering design office, this vessel was custom designed for fast, worldwide cruising. All systems were designed to be as light and efficient as possible, with low maintenance.
A powerful sail plan provides top speeds up to 30 knots. She is designed as a pure sailing machine and the engines are kept small and light. Cruising speed with engines is about 9 knots.
Morrelli & Melvin's uniquely shaped wave-piercing reverse bows, high bridgedeck clearance and complimentary underbody save weight and windage but also reduce pitching motions to ensure comfortable and fast cruising.
Built in the US by Westerly Marine - a custom boat builder, founded in 1970, and located in Santa Ana, California - specializing in Carbon Fiber Performance Vessels.

ACCOMMODATIONS (See attached GA)
Much thought was given to producing an interior that would be attractive, but practical for long distance cruising. 3 double staterooms, and two single cabins in the hulls - each ensuite - with custom carbon fiber electric toilets, stainless steel counter tops, and separate stand up showers.
A large, open salon, with dinette to Port - seats 10 - with storage underneath. A large navigation area, forward, to Starboard. A sofa, useable as a sea bunk. And a large, L shaped Galley (“Up”), with an island counter.
A sizable Galley, with 2 highly efficient, large refrigerators (16 and 12 cu ft), 2 freezer drawers, built by Glacier. A Force 10 stove. Double sinks with stainless steel tops, and attractive, practical, Marble counters. Very practical, for long term cruising.
In the round - with a full complement of sophisticated navigation, and boat systems monitoring equipment. Everything needed, for long term living and long distance cruising.
A large cockpit (aft), with a large, comfortable cockpit settee/table, and steering stations, on both sides. Steering is “up”, behind a windshield, with sliding roof, overlooking the cabin top - with halyards, sheets, trimming lines leading aft to the steering stations, and electric winches. Provides superior visibility of boat, rig and sea – with an excellent set up for short handed sailing – while providing excellent protection. Includes an additional Bar with fridge and ice machine, plus a barbecue.
Cabins and Heads
Master Cabin aft, with a King sized bunk, with large lockers and storage. Ensuite head, with separate shower.
Fwd cabin - the Port forward cabin has been converted to a gym, with available pipe berths, for overflow sleeping, and a washing machine.
Crew Cabin – a convertible crew cabin available in Port fwd bow – with two pipe berths, and head. Or useable as a large storage area.
Guest Cabin aft, with a King sized bunk, with large lockers and storage. Ensuite head, with separate shower.
Guest Cabin forward, with a Queen sized bunk, and an extra single. With large lockers and storage. An ensuite head, with separate shower. Good as a liveaboard crew cabin.
Much attention has been paid to ventilation, to maximize comfort. Ingeniously designed dorade fans, keep the air in the cabins circulating, keeping them fresh, cool and dry – minimizing the need for air conditioning, even in the tropics. However, three air conditioning units are available, and employed, to cool the boat, in the worst of heat conditions.
Machinery compartments are midships, for pumps and Engine Access. Additional engine access through stairs in companion way.
Painted surfaces in cabins, for ease of maintenance.
