Launched in late 2010, she really was the boat that started the fast, planing 40 ft revolution and has an enviable trophy cabinet.
This design really excel's under IRC, but of recent years the boat has proved just as competitive under ORC and things look to only be getting better as the rating rule develops.

"Keronimo" is fitted with a Hall Spars carbon rig, which is a twin spreader configuration.
She is a single piece, which is the preferred performance option for these boats.
An optimised carbon boom, to include the option for reefing, with out haul system fitted internally to the boom is also supplied
The rig was given a full cosmetic overhaul in 2017, including cut and polish. The boom was also overhauled.
Keronimo is fitted with Nitronic Rod standing rigging throughout, which was ultra sound tested by All-Spars and items replaced as/when required.
A fixed carbon bowsprit is also installed, that is now extended for maximum downwind asymmetric spinnaker projection - New bowsprit (+700mm) and bob stay 2016
Split running back stays, controlled by two aft cockpit winches allow for a large, square top mainsail configuration.
New running rigging package installed on the boat during 2017 refit of mast.

Built to be the ultimate IRC rating boat, there is nothing that this design hasn't achieved, whether it be inshore IRC National Champion or a Class winner in the Rolex Fastnet Race............ "Keronimo" and the Ker 40 design can do it ALL.
Hull, Deck & Superstructure Construction:
The hull and the deck constructed from vacuum consolidated e-glass/epoxy/foam sandwich.
Additional reinforcement in the way of all deck fittings and other highly loaded areas.
The structural internal from vacuum consolidated glass/epoxy/foam with sandwich construction unidirectional fibre reinforcement.
Non-structural internal components are built from glass/epoxy/foam sandwich construction.
Keel & Rudder:
Autoclaved prepreg carbon rudder stock.
Corecell foam cored, carbon skin rudder blade.
JP3 upper and lower self-aligning rudder bearings.
White awl-craft paint finish to deck and interior gloss areas. Refurbished in 2017.
Sprayed non-skid areas on deck. Repainted in 2015.
Cockpit Floor: cockpit deck grip replaced with foam in 2017.
