Groundbreaking is an understatement. When the Doughertys designed the Everglades 290 Pilot, they reinvented the family fishing boat. And, of course, they were rewarded for it. The 290 Pilot received top honors at the 2005 NMMA Innovation Awards in Miami and was the sole winner in the Fishing Boats category for innovative achievement.

Recessed storage areas are everywhere, giving you the luxury of stowing away your belongings without sacrificing space. Family and friends will be quite comfortable, too, thanks to the signature Everglades seats at the stern, helm and forward of the console. The 290 Pilot features white powder-coated rails, and, for added safety, red LED lights.

Innovative features are at every turn. Aluminum extrusions with integrated awning tracks and wire-runs are built into - not around - the console, providing more walkaround space. A Dougherty-designed Command Console allows for all-weather running and converts into a fully enclosed, Dougherty-designed pilothouse. The patented RAMCAP construction process creates a truly unsinkable offshore fishing boat.
