This Beneteau Océanis 40 is sleek and stylish combining comfort and performance. This yacht is a result off a coming together of Berret Racoupeau and Italian interior architect Nauta Design, whose focus on comfort and practicality are prevelant on board.
Constructed in GRP with hi-gloss white gel coat finish to hull and superstructure. Decks are GRP and balsa providing strength and insulation. All walk ways are finished in "diamondpoint" moulded non slip for safety. Shoal draft cast iron fin keel and semi balanced counter hung rudder.
Large self bailing cockpit with teak slats. Twin helm postion with leather covered stainless steel wheels. Large central cockpit table constructed from moulded GRP with teak inlay. This large capacity table can seat 8-10 persons in comfort and featues a removeable 12V light, central coolbox well and adjustable navigation pod. This substantial structure is protected from the elements by its bespoke cover.Great storage in cockpit with two shallow lockers port and starboard, dedicated gas locker with two bottle capacity and cavernous shelved locker below starboard helm seat. Cockpit benefits from a full cockpit canopy. This has removeable side and rear panels and can be used as a bimini.
Access to bathing platform through vertical opening moulding with gas assited strut and double set of guardwires. Swim platform with teak inlay, liferaft locker and stainless steel boarding laddser with solid teak treads. Very handy hot and cold transom shower for rinsing off after a dip.
Forward is the deep self bailing anchor locker with elerctric windlass with dual controls. 16Kg brittany style anchor with chain and warp. Stainless steel bow fitting with roller for ease of retrieval. Mooring cleats are large, cast aluminium mounted fore, aft and midships. Hull fitted with stainless steel bands to protect against rope abrasion.

Engine & Electrics
Vessel powered by a very reliable and economical Yanmar 3JH4E inboard diesel. This 40 hp unit has a single lever engine control with start panel in cockpit at starboard helm. The engine compartment is situated beneath the companionway steps is fitted with soundproofing foam and forced air outlet. The engine is fitted with an alternator 12 V / 80 Amph which recharges the 5 batteries on board. Fuel is stored in a rotation moulded tank of 200 litre capacity. This is situated beneath the starboard aft berth and is fitted with a electronic sender unit/ gauge and low level alarm at panel.
Reduction gearbox driving a stainless steel shaft and folding KIWI 3-bladed propeller to minimise drag.

Sails and Rigging
Deck stepped 9/10 electro-polished aluminium mast with twin set of aft swept spreaders. Stainless steel standing rigging with twin backstays with turnbuckles.Rigid boom vang and mainsail track forward of sprayhood to keep the cockpit uncluttered. Roller furling genoa system with genoa sheet tracks and piston adjusted traveller cars for ease of handling. All running rigging is led back to cockpit (except the boom topping lift) via a series of turning blocks and clutches
Self tailing winches for halyards and sheets with electric upgrade top port halyard winch.

Interior is plush and comfortable thanks to Italian design team Nauta Design. The result is a welcoming, light and spacious feel that makes extended periods afloat relaxing and enjoyable.
This is the more popular 3-cabin layout with twin double berth guest cabins to the rear and owners cabin with en-suite in bow. The saloon is entered via the companionway with large perspex sliding hatch and louvred and vented saloon style doors. Large seating area to starboard with easy clean leatherette covered upholstery. Upgraded "deluxe" table with extendable leaves when entertaining.
Linear galley to port with white easy clean surfaces and plentiful storage cupboards and units below and mounted along the hull. Stainless steel twin sinks with hot and cold pressurised water with mixer tap. Top loading 170 litre capacity fridge with ice compartment. Fridge is fitted with a drain for easy cleaning. Gimballed gas fuelled oven with 2-burner hob. 220V microwave oven provides a quick and easy option as an alternative.
Coming aft from the galley is the chart table/navigation area featuring forward facing seat, chart table with storage and switch panel. Switch panel is divided into 240V and 12V with trip switches for safety. Panel also features gauges for fuel, water and voltage and fitted with low level alarms.
Twin aft cabins with large double berths, opening ports for ventilation, wardrobe hanging space and 12V deck lights and berth reading lights. The starboard aft cabin also has access to the saloon heads and can act as an "en-suite" for the occupants.
The heads is large and features a moulded sink with storage below and hull mounted lockers with angled mirrored fronts with increase the amount of light and accentuate the space. Marine toilet with electric flush connected to a holding tank with overboard discharge valve or deck pump out. Separate shower stall with pressurised hot and cold mixer tap, automatic pump ot and easy clean pmna screen.
Forward "Owners" cabin features a large double berth, hanging locker, shelved units, opening ports and 12V lighting. En-suite heads compartment with electric flush toilet. holding tank and shower stall. All deck hatches are fitted with "Oceanair" blackout and mosquito blinds. Boat is kept warm and dry by the Eberspacher heating unit.
