Described as the “best racer’s cruiser,” the D1150 was designed for short-handed or fully crewed sailing and to be capable of high average speeds for quick ocean crossings, and most specifically for the Round Britain and Ireland Race, in which the prototype came 2nd in its class in 2010.
Robust foam sandwich construction by world-renowned builder Multimarine Composites gives you the confidence to race and explore far from shore, with carbon reinforcements in the bridgedeck; this design offers more performance than any other cat of its class, without compromising safety or comfort of ride.
The Dazcat 1150 bridge deck racing/cruising catamaran is available in three formats; self build from a kit; some fit-out required; complete sailaway finished by Multimarine. The price depends on specifications so feel free to get in touch and see more in the Picture Gallery on our dazcat.co.uk website, or on YouTube.
Weight is centralized to create the best performance and ride. The interior feels light and airy, with all features laid out to make living and sailing as easy and pleasurable as possible.
Sleeps three couples, or two couples and a gaggle of children. The airy head and shower compartment is located forward in the port hull; the galley is down in the starboard hull, with full standing headroom. The navigation station mirrors this in the port hull and has plenty of storage for charts and instruments.
