Based on a conventional sailboat hull shape, the integral swim platform was refined until it became the exact proportion for increasing speed, minimizing hull drag, and reducing the squat associated with canoe sterns. The resulting design allowed the vessel to ride up and over waves in a following sea rather than being pushed around by them.

M/V Dauntless has been cruised by her original owners from PNW to the Great Lakes and has proven sea keeping ability. She has been maintained in great condition and is only for sale due to owner health issues.
