140' Overall and 92' on deck, The Spirit of South Carolina was launced in March 2007 for the SC Maritime Foundation to be used for youth education programs and to serve as ambassador for the State of South Carolina and as an attraction for the port cities of SC. She was designed by Peter Boudreau and Andrew Davis along the lines of the early Pilot Shooners and built by Mark Bayne and his crew from Sea Island Boatworks. Due to unforseen events the economics of such a venture have not met the expectations of the owner or its lenders and she is therefore offered at a fraction of her true fair market value in order to effect a rapid sale. She was surveyed in March 2013 and appraised at that time at $2.2 Million. She is inspected for and has accomodations for 21 overnight passengers not including crew. Preliminary listing, full specs and photos to follow.
