Head turning good looks makes this Hunt designed & built Surfhunter 29’ very unique. Her original owner built her without a bow rail and opening ports in the trunk cabin to create a yacht with a stunning sleek profile more like a custom one-off yacht. She has a stunning appearance with her Blue Tone White gel coat hull, custom dark blue double boot stripe and all white coach roof/non-skid/deck. Her all white powder coated windshield & OPTIONAL trunk cabin hand rails, white Stamoid Bimini convertible top/curtains/covers, along with her OPTIONAL upgraded all white Ultra-leather seating add to her elegant and distinctive custom appearance. This beauty is further offset with a striking OPTIONAL bright varnished teak toe rail with pup-up bow chocks and OPTIONAL bright varnished teak cockpit coaming boards that together, further compliment the total cosmetic appearance. New (2013) OPTIONAL STAINLESS STEEL LOW PROFILE BOW RAIL ADDED that blends in well with her sleek, clean and low profile appearance.. “SIDEKICK” is a real head turner where ever she goes and will certainly be admired by anyone who appreciates clean lines and understated beauty!
She is equipped with a bow thruster and a quiet/ fuel efficient Volvo D-6 fully electronic common rail diesel with jack shafted stern drive w/ counter rotating propellers that gives her shallow draft capability and exceptional directional steering ability in reverse to execute with ease the most difficult docking maneuvers. Her legendary Hunt deep-V hull gives her outstanding handling characteristics with her substantial flared bow and continuous dead rise beginning at 57 degrees and ending at 21.5 degrees in the stern. Her hull design is a testament to her exceptional directional stability upwind, downwind, abeam, and in quartering seas. The three large below the waterline running strakes further enhance her hulls ability to accelerate and lift (on plane @ 12-13 kts.) and gently and gracefully step-down in a following sea. She has a continuous top cruising speed of 29 kts. and a top speed of approx 33 kts!
Two very experienced and knowledgeable owners have given her loving care as reflected in her stunning cosmetic appearance. She is now being offered for sale as her current (second) owner no longer has time to use her, having just come out of retirement to accept a new employment challange. Her asking price has been reduced (6) times from the original $248K asking price to her most current very competitive $228K to reflect the motivation of the seller to find a buyer. She has a one of a kind exterior appearance that makes this yacht a truly unique and very desirable offering on the brokerage market! A must see for anyone considering a very special SH-29" diesel! Currently located in the water at our docks in Portsmouth, RI. Still time to enjoy 1 1/2 months of this season's use!
