The 38 ZSF's expansive aft cockpit was designed for maximum fishability. There's a large livewell under the comfortable, wide aft bench seat, along with additional storage. Driver and co-pilot sit securely in the dual side-by-side drop-down helm seat, protectedfrom the wind behind a tall, wide console windshield. The helm itself is a model of ergonomic functionality; featuring flush-mounted Mercury Smart Craft instrumentation, waterproof switches with circuit breakers, beverage holders, chart flat with plex cover, tilt hydraulic steering, and ample space for electronics and navigation equipment. Under the diamond non-skid cockpit sole, there's plenty of room for the day's catch in two monstrous insulated in-floor fishboxes that drain overboard via a high volume diaphragm pump. In addition to the standard complement of gunnel-mount rod holders and port and starboard cockpit rod racks, you'll find locking storage for four fishing rods, concealed within the finished fiberglass inner-liner on the 38 ZSF's available hard top.

Two curved seating areas grace the forward cockpit behind the wraparound glass windshield, creating a comfortable place to lounge and take a break from the action. Insulated coolers are located beneath the seats, which may be fitted with optional Frigibar refrigerators or freezers. A standard wetbar with freshwater sink is housed within the starboard gunnel, and wide walkaround areas provide easy access to the forward deck and its integrated sun pad with headrest and beverage holders.

Heading below via a sliding companionway door with screen, you'll find an exquisite cabin loaded with creature comforts. A full galley features a standard refrigerator, microwave, and an available single-burner electric stove. There's an enclosed, stand-up head compartment with shower, sink, and vanity. Forward, there are port and starboard facing loveseats with a removable table, and a full-size v-berth offers plenty of room to stretch out and relax. Recessed deck hatches and opening, screened port lights combine with suspended headliner and over six feet of headroom to create an open, airy look. Optional air conditioning, generator, and TV with DVD player round out the amenities.
