Covey Island Custom

"Sir Edmund" is a 49' cold molded Schooner designed by Chuck Burns and built by Covey Island Boat Works.

She was designed to be a double handed Ocean Racer for a very experienced yachtsman. The owners first yacht "Sir Isaac" competed in the 1986 Transpac Ocean Race taking first in Class and First Place overall. The next year she competed in the Melbourne to Osaka race which is a 6,000 mile double-handed ocean race.

Many ideas from these experiences went into the design of "Sir Edmund".
