This listing offers a singular opportunity to own what is arguably the finest 31 Ultimate Cruiser ever built by Corsair.  She is truly unique with the “Ultimate Cruiser” configured main hull while sporting beautifully rounded 1-D floats.  In addition to her extraordinary design, special rigging modifications have made her a safe and proven performer in cruising and racing.  Her successful cruising venues include the Sea of Cortez, the San Juan Islands, the Channel Islands, and Lake Tahoe.

She trailers easily to far flung destinations and comfortably accommodates parties of four for multiple week cruises.  She is very strong and stable and has safely come through some extreme storms with high winds and large waves.  She is also very fast and easily reaches16 to 18 knots, and more, while remaining stable and comfortably under control.  Her speed has been validated by her recent wins of three major 2012 races – the Trans Tahoe Race (TYC) and the Corsair Perpetual Trophy, the Silver Eagle Long Distance Race (IYC on SF Bay) and the Oktoberfest Regatta (BYC on SF Bay).

Her sail plan and rigging has evolved for safety and easy handling by a short handed crew.  The traveler rigging has been re-designed to easily dump power when needed and the main sail is fitted with a Tides Track slider system that allows the main to be quickly and neatly dropped into a Doyle Stack Pack under nearly all points of sail.  The jib is handled with a Harken furler and the screacher, mounted on the bowsprit, is easily handled with a Falcon continuous line furler and tensioner.  

Inside, the main cabin is fitted out with warm maroon cushions, and a full galley.  There is a stand-up head/shower compartment forward, and a double aft cabin.  She has ample storage for multi-week cruises and demountable solar panels provide all of the power needed.
