PRELIMINARY SPECIFICATIONS - NEW PHOTOGRAPHY ADDED IN JANUARY 2014
LADY JANET evolved from Christensen's very successful 157' series as MARATHON, featuring full beam and master stateroom, five guest staterooms, several dining and socializing locations and a huge sundeck with all four levels serviced by an elevator. The raised panel high gloss cherry wood interior with marble floors and granite counters is the outstanding work of Carol Williamson, incalabiration with Christensen Shipyard's in house craftsman. This is not a "kit" boat with interior and major components provided by off yard "sub contractors". It is a "shipyard" built yacht and you can call the shipyard and get infomration on a ll systems instead of having to chase down a subcontractor. LADY JANET is Hull #29 in the 157' custom series with American Bureau Shipping Classification (ABS + A1-AMS) and MCA Compliance. LADY JANET has the pedigree to perform as a charter or a private yacht in any ice free part of the world and can accommodate 12 or more guests (16 with pullman berths). She also can be adapted to carry a helicopter if necessary as the deck structure in the 157' series anticipates this as an option. LADY JANET has a bulbous bow that improves pitch and efficiency and was designed and tank tested at the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture.
Since purchase a year ago, in beautiful condition, LADY JANET has been updated in several ways:
Carpets and fabrics have been renewed
New HD TV's have been installed with a Kaleidescope, Crestron and Ipad control system. There are 19 TV satellite receiver units
The NAIAD stabilizer system has been upgraded for at anchor/zero speed stabilization
MTU engines received a 4000 hour check and tune up.
Salon coffee table, dining room, skylounge card table and buffet table refinished to remove knicks and scratches. Look as they did when they were brand new.
Previously in 2011, all of the windows were re-caulked and/or re-bedded as necessary and the sun exposed exterior parts of the yacht were repainted. Overheads and cabin sides covered by overhangs were not repainted and still look excellent. In the summer of 2013 LADY JANET performed flawlessly on a 8000 nautical mile trip, up the east coast and to the Great Lakes via the East Coast, Saint Lawrence Seaway and Welland Canal.
She is currently lying in Fort Lauderdale with full crew, and ready to take a new owner to his dream destinations.
The theme of comfort and elegance is carried throughout the yacht LADY JANET and is evident in every space. The aft deck provides shaded comfort for relaxing, dining or simply enjoying the scenery. A few steps away lies the main salon, a perfect environment for entertaining guests, watching TV or a movie on the HDTV. Spacious main salon windows provide unobstructed views of the water outside.
The focal point of the formal dining salon is a spectacular seating for twelve, and adjacent to the well equipped galley.
On the lower deck, there are five luxurious staterooms. The full beam VIP stateroom features a vanity, HDTV, and a large bath complete with jacuzzi tub. There are two king staterooms, two double-sized staterooms that include a full size/twin size and pullman. All staterooms have en-suite baths and entertainment centers.
The Master suite sets a new standard in superyacht design for space and elegance. Entering from the main deck foyer, you pass through your private office and into the full-beam bedroom with his and her baths. Her spacious bath features a jacuzzi tub, and separate shower. There is a king-sized bed, 2 x walk-in closets and entertainment center.
Whether you arrive at the bridge deck and sky lounge via the exquisite curved staircase, or use the elevator (all 4 decks) located off the foyer, the impression is the same: elegance, complete with large screened HDTV's, a sunken bar and ample seating. Al fresco dining is at its best on the aft bridge deck. This spacious private area accommodates 12 guests and features a wet bar. The tender can be removed for an unobstructed view.
The sun deck presents endless possibilities for relaxation and exercise. Forward, the jacuzzi is surrounded by sun beds. The shaded settee curves around a cocktail table and the cocktail bar has seating for nine. The expansive open space of the sun deck is perfect for large-scale entertaining. The yacht is fully equipped with various water toys for shore excursions by tender. General

The Owners of LADY JANET are aware that there are about twenty yachts for sale world wide in the same size, age and price range as LADY JANET. Some have rather extreme interior design that maybe appealing to some buyers, but may not provide lasting investment value that a yacht with a more moderate interior like LADY JANET will. Some of the others do not have six staterooms, an elevator and zero speed/at anchor stabilization; These are features that are necessary on a yacht in the 150' size range in order to maintain high future resale value.
Some of these yachts are anxiously for sale, but are not well maintained and fully crewed and ready to cruise.
LADY JANET is anxiously for sale too, but she is fully crewed and well maintained and ready to take a new owner to new cruising destinations tomorrow. The owners hope that LADY JANET is on the short list for serious Buyers of yachts in this class and offer the yacht in pristine showing condition anytime with 24 hours notice (covers off, runners up, crew in uniforms). All serious offers from qualified Buyers are welcome as this yacht needs to be Sold as the cruising program that LADY JANET was purchased for has been completed. LADY JANET is not cruising.
LADY JANET will be in the Miami Boat Show if not sold before.
