L’ARDEUR is a Beneteau 373 from the drawing board of the design firm Berret/Racoupeau. Fast, roomy and comfortable, the 373 is a fantastic all around vessel for Pacific Northwest cruising. Her two stateroom interior arrangement features a spacious galley and salon with a large head and separate shower. Numerous fixed windows, ports and hatches create a very bright feel to the below decks space. On deck, her roomy cockpit features a pivoting Goiot steering pedestal that allows the wheel to be rotated out of the way for easy access to her walk through transom and large swim platform. Her in mast furling mainsail and furling headsail are easily deployed and furled from the comfort of the cockpit. She has brand new Sunbrella upholstery in the salon. Equipped with Webasto diesel heat, Raymarine autopilot, electronics and sailing instruments, Iversen dodger and Seafrost 12v fridge and freezer, L’ARDEUR is ready to provide more enjoyment to her next owners.
L’ARDEUR has been delivered by the owner to our Lake Union sales dock to sell. Her hull and topsides have been waxed, metals polished and a thorough detailing of interior and deck lockers completed. She’s been well-maintained by her original owner. Inspection will reveal a very nice, odor free, clean and turn-key Pacific Northwest cruiser.

The interior of L’ARDEUR is finished is satin varnished wood and white paneled hull ceilings with a wood grain laminate cabin sole. Her headliner features molded sections with removable panels that are trimmed in teak. An abundance of fixed windows, hatches and opening ports creates a very bright interior space and ventilation is very good. Her interior will sleep six; two each in the forward and aft staterooms and two in the main salon.
Starting forward is the forward stateroom with V-berth. Shelves run along the hull sides to port and starboard. There is a tall locker with shelves aft and to port of the berth and a hanging locker aft and to starboard. An opening hatch and two hull side ports provide very nice light.
The main salon is next aft. There’s a straight settee to starboard and a U-shaped settee to port, easily seating six or more for dinner or drinks. A clever arrangement allows the large salon table to rotate around the mast compression post, allowing closer access from the starboard settee. There is additional storage beneath the settees and outboard behind the settee seatbacks. The salon table lowers and infills the dinette with a cushion to make a double berth. New Sunbrella upholstery on salon cushions by Canvas Supply Inc. in September 2013.
The nav station is aft and to starboard. The navigator’s seat faces forward and has a small chart table with lifting top storage space. Outboard of the nav table, the AC/DC electrical panels, VHF radio and stereo are close at hand. A chart spotlight provides extra illumination for charts in low light. Forward of the nav station, a Raymarine C120 chartplotter is cleverly mounted in a locker face that hinges and secures aft visible and within reach of the nav table. There’s storage beneath the nav seat and in an open shelf outboard of the seat.
The galley is aft and to port in the main cabin. The J-shaped counter provides just enough space to wedge in for stability in a seaway, but still allows two in the galley for food preparation or clean-up at anchor. Tall fiddles surround the white laminate countertop. At the forward inboard end of the galley counter is a pantry locker with shelves and a silverware drawer above. A double stainless sink with hot/cold pressure water faucet is located atop the counter. Removable white sink covers can be used as cutting boards. There’s a locker with a shelf located below the sink. Outboard of the sink is a large top loading freezer. Just aft of the fridge is a propane two burner stove/oven with a stainless steel crash bar. There’s a locker for pots and pans below. Aft of the stove there’s an open counter space with front loading fridge compartment below. Outboard of the galley counter along the hull side is a series of three lockers with shelves and a built in microwave. A long shelf is above these lockers. Two opening ports provide good ventilation.
The head is located adjacent to the companionway ladder to starboard. Finished in white molded fiberglass/gelcoat surfaces, the compartment is easy to clean. A Raritan manual head is located forward, facing inboard. Aft and outboard is a molded sink with mirrored cabinet above and a locker below. The separate stall shower is located aft. There’s a stainless steel grab bar with integral shower curtain bar. An L-shaped seat spans the outboard and aft sides of the compartment. There are two towel hooks. A fixed port, two opening ports and hatch provide light and ventilation.
The aft stateroom features a massive berth that functions either as an athwartships queen or a smaller fore/aft double berth. There’s a shelf at the aft end of the berth, a small locker at the forward end beneath the cockpit, and a hanging locker forward along the hull side with an open locker below. A small hatch beneath the dodger, two opening ports and one fixed portlight add light and ventilation.
