LAYOUT - Below deck
From Stern to stem: Huge Lazarette aft which is accessed from deck hatches. Owner's stateroom aft, with ensuite head and separate shower. Fixed watertight bulkhead between lazarette and master stateroom. Leaving Owner SR through starboard passageway, a wide comfortable watch berth is located outboard, and engine room/pump room to port, on centerline under cockpit, extending from that point full width out to port side of hull. Moving forward, Navigation station to starboard in salon area, Galley to port, full width saloon with huge dinette to port, and 2 upholstered easy chairs to stbd. Watertight bulkhead to: both forward cabins and head. The double cabin is to port, and single upper/lower berths to starboard. Forward of these 2 cabins is head, stall shower, washer, dryer.
Described from stern to stem: AMEL uses richly varnished African Mahogany throughout, with faux teak and holly soles. The interior of this yacht is luxurious.
AFT CABIN / OWNER STATEROOM: A luxurious stateroom with full queen walkaround berth (raises on pneumatic lift to provide EASY access to voluminous storage beneath), with night stands on both sides. Large head with walk-in shower stall to port is of one-piece modular construction (seamless, easy to clean...) with a hatch for light and ventialtion over the shower stall, a 24v electric toilet w/ fresh water flush, opening port, towel racks, shelves, dirty clothes hamper. Other aft cabin features are: Writing desk/ vanity with mirror and drawer, shelves, book cases, 2 hanging lockers, cabin sole of synthetic teak and holly floor boards with edge bound carpet overlay. 5 opening ports and after market opening hatch over bed. Ship's safe installed below berth. Note: the aft bulkhead of this SR is fixed, watertight separatiing aft SR from large lazarette (accessible through deck).
PASSAGE WAY CABIN: Large and comfortable single berth transforms to a great sea berth with use of the lee cloth. Shelves, book case, storage. Ship's/House batteries in water tight/vapor tight compartment below. Opening porthole to cockpit.
Navigation station: Beautiful L shaped mahogany chart table. 4 drawers, shelves, book case. Comfortable, adjustable seat. Navigation electronics mounted in removable panel for easy access to wiring.
GALLEY: Large U- shaped galley situated to port of companionway. Stainless steel front loading refrigerator, 4 burner propane stove with oven (2 gas bottles mounted in deck locker), exhaust fan over stove, Coriain counter tops, double stainless sink, mixer tap with adjustable spray and flexible hose, top opening large storage area for pots and pans, flatware drawer and numerous shelves and lockers for supplies. Additional drawers for utensils. Galley is well lit, secure at sea, and very comfortable in port. Stainless steel refrigerator front opens, and huge freezer beneath counter-top opening.
Galley has optional second freezer (under dinette settee) for a total of (2) freezer/frig and one front opening refrigerator.
SALON: Beautiful and very large dinette to port. White ultra suede upholstery and richly varnished Arican mahogany create a luxurious feeling. Beautifully venitlated and well lit - both naturally and with recessed overhead lighting and thoughtfully placed reading lights. Two lounge chairs to starboard, with mahogany table between.
HULL: Solid hand laid fiberglass hull, keel, skeg, using proprietary AMEL biaxial flat woven fiberglass cloth, laid in full width and full length strips using polyester resins. AMEL leaves the boat in the mold even after lay up, and glasses the bulkheads and furninture in place, then secures the deck, laminating it to the hull with 6 layers of glass, all before removal from the mold. This is as near a bullet-proof form of construction as can be found, and represents AMEL's firm committment to structural integrity without compromise.
DECK: End grain balsa core in hand laid glass deck with solid laminate used in all areas where hardware is mounted and/or where backing plates are required.
RUDDER: Solid stainless steel rudder stock and stainless ribs form internal framework of hand laid solid fiberglass rudder. Rudder attached at 3 points to full skeg.
Multi cellular building design: Hull, deck, bulheads and furniture are all glased together to form a one piece structure while still in the mold. This techniguqe results in a leak free vessel of superior strength and structural integrity.
4 WATERTIGHT BULKHEADS, each with isolatiing valve.
AMEL builds all vessels with a proprietary osmotic blistering prevention treatment.
Beautiful faux teak decking adds beauty and class while eliminating maintenance chores! On deck, real teak is used on helmsan's footrest, cockpit table, and cockpit floor grating.
End grain balsa cored hand laid fiberglass deck except in areas of where deck hardware is mounted, in which case the deck is solid, and where necessary, additionally strengthened with backing plates.
Stainless steel stem head fitting/anchor platform designed to accomodate stowage of 2 anchors ad their morring lines.
