GRP cruising yacht built by Luhrs Marine in 2006. Unmistakable Hunter design with large cockpit, wide side decks and raised coachroof giving excellent headroom below decks. Shoal draft fin keel giving a draft of 3'6"allows the shallower areas of our coast and water ways to be explored with confidence. Counter hung rudder with binnacle mounted wheel steering.
White topsides in hi-gloss gel with grey tread master walkways and "Easi-teak" flexible panels to cockpit sole at helm and to locker tops. Large cockpit with removable transom helm seat for easy access to bathing platform. Storage locker to port for cleaning materials. Cockpit and side decks protected by heavy duty stainless steel push pit and pulpit rails and stanchions. These are connected by double set of coated stainless steel wire. Aft pushpit rails incorporate wooden seats with adjacent drinks holders which are very comfortable and useful indeed.
Large anchor well in bow with electric windlass. Plenty room to for the anchor chain and warp. Large spray hood keeps the companionway entrance dry and the addition of a boom tent means that you can sit outside admiring the views when precipitation occurs. Large acrylic windows in boom tent let in natural light and aid visibility.

This Hunter is fitted with the larger engine option making her ideal for coastal use and will push against any tide or condition. The engine is a Yanmar 2GM20, 18hp with shaft driven 2-bladed propeller. Engine is housed beneath the large engine hatch that doubles as the companionway steps and is well insulated for noise. Engine start panel in cockpit situated behind protective Perspex panel. Key start with rev counter and audible/visual warnings for temperature, oil pressure and charging.
Engine has completed 450 hours and has been serviced annually by the current owner. bank of 2x12V batteries providing dedicated engine start and domestic power. These are recharged via the engines alternator or the smart battery charger when attached to shore power. 12/240V panel in aft cabin with fused switches. Additional 240V 3-pin sockets have been added to various locations throughout the yacht to allow the practical use of extra equipment.
Sails and Rigging
Sloop rigged yacht with fractional aluminium deck stepped mast and aluminium boom. Swept back spreaders and shrouds that attach outboard negates the need for backstays which frees up room in the cockpit. All lines are led aft to helm via a series of turning blocks, deck organisers and clutches. Easy to handle yacht ideal if sailing short handed or with an inexperienced crew.

Accommodation and layout
It is hard to believe you are aboard a 27 footer when you consider below decks. Everything is big including the seats you sit on and the entrances to cabins and heads. The headroom is 6'2" at the main hatch which is phenomenal in a boat of this size.
She is classed as a 6 berth but is ideally suited for 4 adults. Large aft cabin with double berth and dressing seat. Good headroom and a clever opening hatch to cockpit for natural light and ventilation. The galley is to starboard and features a stainless steel sink with both hot and cold pressurised water. The single burner cartridge gas hob has been removed as not fit for purpose and has been replaced by a ceramic electric plug in hob and a microwave oven. 37 Litre, 12V Fridge unit for perishables and keeping the beers cool.
Opposite the galley is the large heads with marine toilet and holding tank and small sink with pressurised water. The saloon has a central drop leaved table that can 6 persons with ease. The settees are very wide and comfortable and designed to be used as an additional two single berths. The fore peak double berth is completed using an additional infill cushion and has a privacy curtain to separate itself from the saloon.
The current owner has enhanced the comfort aboard by the addition of several storage shelves and units to replace the original net bags. He has also added electric fan heating into the saloon to keep her warm and dry. This efficient system is economical to run and has no dangerous fumes. The saloon was reupholstered in early 2014 in smart blue material. The flooring is teak and holly laminate to provide the nautical feel. 12V lighting and 240v sockets.
