Saoirse (Sear’-sha) The Gaelic word for ‘Freedom’! This Hunter 45CC (center cockpit) is a special yacht that offers the buyer a rare opportunity. The boat was built in 2006, however, it was not commissioned until June 2008. In the interim, Saoirse was used by the manufacturer as a ‘showboat,’ which was featured at various boat shows throughout the New England region. The vessel is loaded with equipment and amenities, including bowthruster, generator, A/C, in-mast furling main and electric cabin top winch. Saoirse has been very gently used—only 226 hours on the 75 HP Yanmar diesel engine and less than 30 hours on the generator. The galley is equipped with a 3-burner Force 10 stove and oven (never used), as well as a front and top opening refrigerator and separate freezer. Electronics include a Raymarine E120 GPS at the helm, an E80 at the nav station, satellite radio and weather. An Icom- 802 single side band radio was installed for blue-water cruising. Saoirse represents an opportunity to purchase a very well-equipped, sail-away ready yacht in pristine condition, for many thousands less than a comparably equipped new model. A 2012 survey of the boat is also avalable.
