For those seeking high quality, great sea keeping abilities and year round comfortable cruising, the 39 Eastbay is an excellent choice. The upper salon (pilothouse) offers huge windows for excellent visibility and light while the lower salon offers more privacy and a very well appointed galley.
The woodwork throughout is warm and beautiful. Curved wood doors, assembled door fronts and lots of trim give her a very upscale "yacht" feel.
Forward, you find the single berth with island walk-around bed, lots of storage and again, lots of beautiful woodwork. The problem with most boats in this size range is that they try to cram two stateroom (and sometimes even two heads) into a 40' platform. By focusing on a single stateroom and single head (with separate shower) layout, she offers much more living space and comfort than most comparable vessels.
A proven deep-V hull designed by C. Raymond Hunt Associates, the Eastbay SX cruises in the mid 20's and can easily top 30 knots while keeping dry and providing a smooth ride. Inside, you'll enjoy outstanding visibility from the helm and salon, with opening windows and hatches for plenty of fresh air when the weather is nice. Walk out of the salon into a spacious cockpit featuring a teak deck, ample seating, large lazarette, and classic Grand Banks appeal
