Fireworks is a remarkably comfortable and well-equipped example of the new Sparkman and Stephens-designed Grand Banks 47 Europa. A veteran of Alaska, having cruised the Inside Passage with the 2006 Grand Banks-sponsored Grand Tour, she is ready to cater to your wanderlust.
The Europa model has always been one of the more popular layouts for Pacific Northwest cruising with the well-protected side decks and the spacious covered aft cockpit—an elegant all-weather extension of the salon. As you will see when you enter the 47 Europa, Grand Banks took the best features of the previous Europa models and made a beamier, more comfortable vessel with the ability, thanks to her twin 500 hp Caterpillar diesels, to cruise faster for those whose schedule requires it, while still providing the advantage of efficient fuel consumption at more leisurely displacement cruising speeds.
Board Fireworks via either side gate or through the convenient transom door from the swim platform. Crossing the cockpit one enters the salon through the wide and stout sliding glazed door. The interior welcomes the owner and guests with the warmth, elegance and attention to detail for which Grand Banks has become justifiably renown. Generous windows, a GB trademark, and dramatic lighting bathe the teak and ultraleather interior day or night. Fireworks provides the perfect venue for entertaining—the bright salon with full entertainment system spills into the spacious cockpit with propane barbeque grill. From there, the stairway provides easy access to the generous upper deck where one can enjoy ample seating and a convenient wet bar and ice-maker as well as the protection of a custom C-Fab hardtop with full Barrett canvas enclosure for year-round use. As the day winds down two staterooms and two heads welcome owner and guests for a good night’s rest.
The skipper is also well-cared for with an extensive offering of included equipment. Conveniences such as the “Cablemaster” shore cord stowage system and “Reverso” oil change equipment are augmented underway with trim tabs, bow thruster, genset, watermaker and a complete suite of helm electronics. The skipper can be accompanied by the first mate at either the wide helm seat at the lower station or the matched Stidd helm chairs topside. Cruise in pleasant surroundings with engine room noise kept at bay with upgraded E/R sound attenuation.
From the fully-equipped galley and helm stations to the comfortable salon, spacious staterooms, and extensive engineering features, both crew and guests aboard Fireworks will feel catered to at the highest yachting standards. See her underway on yachtvid.com/nwexplorations.
“There are seven days in a week, ‘someday’ is not one of them. So don’t put it off.”
