Contender’s reputation for sportfishing excellence has been tested many times over by hard-core anglers up and down the east coast. For years, the company built its boats on traditional deep-V hulls, but with the 33T company founder Joe Neber chose a stepped-hull design for its increased running efficiency—small consideration in this era of high fuel prices. The 33s uncluttered, single-level deck layout has enough working space for a half-dozen anglers and their gear. Standard features include two transom livewells (42 and 48 gallons), two insulated, in-deck fish boxes forward of the console, in-deck rod storage, and a stateof- the art console with integrated console seat and vertical rod holders along each side. Optional below-deck livewell aft of the console make  a total of three wells in this rugged fisherman. A portable head is in the walk-in console space.  Note that the 33 has more freeboard than previous Contender models her size. Twin Yamaha 350s reach close to 45 knots top; Great fishing platform for inshore and offshore. Powered by 2008 350 Hp Yamaha 4 strokes installed in 2009.
