CATLANTECH ABSOLU 50

The Absolu 50 was built by the Catlantech yard in Lorient, France (known for building racing multihulls and racing spars) using the most sophisticated and reliable building methods available today. This is the owner version which offers 5 cabins and two heads: 1 master cabin, 3 double cabins and 1 twin cabin. High bridgedeck clearance, large bow volumes, daggerboards, rotating mast, lightweight epoxy construction; this cat has many of the performance features of the Catana with far less weight and a simpler approach to cruising. L'ABSOLU 50 est né de la rencontre d'un passioné de catamaran Pascal Hauet et d'un architecte spécialiste des catamarans et des navigations extrêmes Christophe Barreau. Leur collaboration a débuté avec le projet ONE OFF 45 construit en deux exemplaires chez Catana en 1998. L'ABSOLU 50 est l'extrapolation de ce projet avec d'avantage de volume, mais conservant la simplicité de conception. Les moules ont été réalisés en Pologne puis rapatriés pour une production à Lorient dans le chantier Catlantech de Dominique Marsaudon.
