Savannah Ann is by far one of the most photographed vessels in all of South Florida. Sitting majestically broadside to Las Olas Boulevard passersbys get the full view of this stately pilothouse motor yacht. Her Portuguese forward deck and lapstrake hull features separate her from the typical bland production boat look.
This one owner boat was constructed with the buyer and captain supervising all aspects of the build along with Marlow to insure she is the best outfitted 78 ever produced. Upgraded stabilizing fins, upgraded electrical system, dual back up hydraulic systems are just a small example of the equipment highlights.
Having owned numerous vessels over the years and lastly a Fleming, the Owner wanted to take the best qualities of all previous vessels and added the latest electronics, auxiliary equipment and loving details to make the ultimate dream of the perfect expedition yacht.
When approaching the yacht, boarding is made easy by multiple level access gates. One is located high and forward at the pilothouse door. The lower gate is aft by the salon. 4 and 7 step marquis ladders easily attach to either gates. When approaching the vessel by water, a large integral swim platform with removable stainless rails provides easy access to the aft deck through port and starboard transom gates.
The covered aft deck provides an excellent area for entertaining and for taking in all the sights. Teak decks, varnished cap rails, hand rails, and massive stainless steel hardware give a rich feel to all that board her. Other features include a starboard side L-shaped lounge area with pedestal table, large storage box to port, aft deck seating with crew quarter access, and a large stainless ladder with teak steps provides access to the upper aft fly bridge deck.
Wide, covered companionways on the port and starboard side provide easy access to the forward and aft deck. The protected Portuguese deck has multiple storage lockers and a bifold gate for forward deck access. The bow boasts a double capstain horizontal windlass with a verticle line handling winch. Other features include stainless steel Danforth & Plow anchor, both with all chain rode, two stainless trimed deck hatches, massive stainless hand rails and pulpit, and teak deck accents.
A staircase from the Pilothouse gives access to the fly bridge. An enormous fiberglass arched hard top provides shade to the helm and mid ship seating area. The helm’s central console provides full instrumentation along with redundant electronics. Two helm seats with leather cushions and all stainless hardware give the captain and crew a 360 degree view of their surroundings. Opposing L-shaped seating makes for comfortable cruising for numerous guests. Large fiberglass lockers house a BBQ, refrigerator, gear storage, and even have a built in treadmill. The aft deck encompasses the electric/hydraulic crane, Windslow raft with hydrostatic releases and a custom Marlow yacht tender.
The Salon highlights include an enormous u-shaped leather settee to starboard. The sole is teak and holly with a vinyl overhead with teak valances above the windows. Teak window blinds provide shade and privacy. A large retractable 52” flat screen TV provides entertainment to port. Two barrel chairs across from the central pedestal table make a great area for an evening of conversation.
The dinette situated between the salon and pilothouse exudes elegance. Built in China cabinets, wine cooler, fridge, and granite countertops make entertaining a pleasure. A classic teak dining table seats six and expands to eight. A custom chandelier casts a beautiful glow over a mouth-watering meal.
The bright and airy galley would make any chef grin. Home size appliances and room to move allows multiple cooks to create a simple snack to a meal fit for visiting dignitaries. Sub Zero fridge and freezer drawers, stainless sink, and all granite countertops compare to the best outfitted home. You can almost smell the warm cookies in the oven.
The raised pilothouse is designed to make navigating any voyage a pleasure. Multiple Furuno displays, forward Sonar, FLUR night vision, and every conceivable communications and monitoring system provides the captain with all information for a safe voyage. The crown helm chair provides a commanding view of all points of the vessel. There is an L-shaped seating area with pedestal table to port. Port and starboard wing doors make easy access to the deck area.
A semi-circular staircase forward of the wheelhouse provides access to the owner and guest quarters. There is a full sized enclosed washer and dryer at the bottom of the stairway. A floor hatch gives acess to a large storage area. Moving forward is the VIP Stateroom with en suite head and shower. Two large deck hatches provide plenty of natural light over the island queen berth. Teak cabinets, flat screen TV & climate control, give visitors a warm, cozy environment. The head has a second door to act as a day head entrance. The second guest cabin to port features side by side single berths. An en suite head and shower along with teak wall coverings, custom bed throws and shellfish accent pillows are a few of the interior appointments.
Moving aft through the companionway located mid ship is the master stateroom. This beam to beam cabin with island king berth is dramatic with accent lighting all around, teak and glass cabinets, and bountiful storage.
Master Stateroom appointments include large flat screen TV, vanity with swivel pedestal chair, writing desk, and small settee to starboard. Port hole light is filtered through elegant glass panes providing a glow and privacy. His & hers head access with a joined shower stall are located behind the berth.
The crew quarters are accessed from the swim platform central transom door or while underway through the aft deck bench seat access hatch. A custom cabin with two separate single berths gives the crew privacy and a place to rest. A head, shower, refrigerator, and entertainment system keep the crew happy. A water tight door with glass viewing area gives the captain a great view of the engine room while underway. Access to both engines and both generators and all auxiliary equipment is easy due to the well conceived engine room layout. Close circuit cameras provide visual monitoring of the engine room and stern view.
