Designed by Chuck Paine and Ed Joy, Ranger, was commissioned by Craig Stevens, a former member of the John Alden design staff. Together, they collaborated on designing the ideal ocean cruiser, the main tenant being the ability to motorsail/motor @ 10 kts of boat speed in most conditions, hence the name "steady-sailer". Built by Lyman-Morse, out of 5083 Aluminum with a raw finished hull, Ranger has a no-nonsense, low maintainence exterior, while the interior is bright, warm and comfortable. She has been outfitted to safely and pleasureably cruise extreme latitudes. With a range of 7,000 miles, the possibilities are limitless. Ranger is currently cruising south to Florida from the Chesapeake and is available for viewing along the way. | ||
