Hull / Deck Construction Details
The hi-tech construction of ROMA matches her modern appearance The hull, deck, and internal structures are detailed using the latest high tech materials including an extensive use of carbon fiber, Core cell and honeycomb cores. The 4.55m lifting keel combines the latest in racing foil shapes and bulb design into a package that can retract for a 2.9m draft.
Roma 85's interior design is stylish, luminous and volumous; featuring a matte white and Titanium metal finish for an open feeling. Lighting is provided by a combination of natural light from several vented deck hatches with a "Luminescent Ceiling" of lighting hiden behind soft opaque fabric panels. Accompanied with extra high ceilings and open space, this lighting combines with the matte white and Titanium finish to provide a surprisingly warm interior.
The main saloon is designed for entertaining with ample room for seating, whether dinner and drinks or music and movies.
As you move forward the starboard side feature a large quest cabin with a queen size bed, ample stowage and a private bath. Moving down the port side hallway, there is a second guest cabin to port featuring with a double bed, ample stowage and a private bath. At the end of the hallway is the large Owner's cabin, with a queen size bed, ample stowage and a large private bath.
Aft of the main saloon and companionway: to port is a third quest cabin featuring 2 single upper & lower beds with ample stowage and a private bath. Adjacent to starboard is a long straight galley with connecting hallway to the crew area.
The crew area is set aft, with a navigation station, sitting/dinning area, Port & Starboard cabins with upper & lower single beds aand a private bath. The crew area has direct access to the helmsman's cockpit through the aft companionway, just past the Nav Station.

Roma 85 features a completely flush deck completing the stylish, high-tech design. There is a companionway dodger that stores inside a deck garage, maintaining the clean look.
The center cockpit is designed for versatility; serving as a trimmer's cockpit when racing, a completely flush cusshioned Sun Deck for cruising, and offers a full-size cockpit table for dining 'al fresco' or drinks under the stars.
The aft helmsman cockpit allows for total sailing capability with all sail controls lead aft for cruising leaving the decks clear.
