Designed by the prolific and highly successful race designer Philipe Briand the Sun Fast 32i is the racier sibling to the Sun Odyssey 32i. Fast cruiser / racer rather than out and out racer she keeps the 6 berth, 2 cabin layout but gains a taller more powerful rig and a deeper keel along and some additional deck hardware for improved sail management. Commissioned onto Windermere this 2005 model boat has had only 2 owners from new. The mainsail and genoa were replaced 2 1/2 years ago and she has been regularly and well maintained throughout the current ownership of 9 years. The boat has been stored ashore each winter and a substantial 4 wheeled yard trailer is available by separate negotiation.

Helmsman seat opens to give access to the sugar scoop stern and swim ladder. Stainless steel push-pit and pulpit fittings are linked by twin guard wires.
Powered by a Volvo Penta 2020 19hp inboard diesel engine driving a 2 bladed folding propeller. Engine last serviced when winterised in October 2016.
A pair of 12 volt batteries provide power for engine start, instruments and domestic use. These are charged via the engine or battery charger when linked to shore power.
The boat benefits from a diesel fuelled Eberspacher Airtronic heating system extending the comfortable use into the winter months.
Sails and Rigging
Fractional rigged Bermudan Sloop with deck stepped alloy mast, spars and kicker and stainless wire standing rigging. Running rigging led aft to cockpit for ease for use and crew safety. The mainsheet traveller is mounted low enough so as not to get in the way when cruising and the backstay is easily adjustable. Rigged for spinnakers the pole is stored along the boom keeping the decks clear.
The genoa has roller furling and a luff sock while the main has slab reefing and a Lazy Jack bag for quick and easy storage. The mainsail and genoa were replaced in March 2015 with sails in Kevlar by Goacher Sails. There are 2 spinnakers by Technique Voile both of which are 11 years old. All sails are said to be "in good condition".
