Macnoon was launched in 2005 and was one of the last Island Packet 420s to be built.
She has had one owner from new in 2005. The first season was spent cruising locally on the South Coast, Channel Islands and Brittany. 2006 saw a gentle cruise around the shores of the Bay of Biscay and then to Spain and Portugal followed by a passage to Gran Canaria, Madeira, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. She then joined the ARC in 2006 to sail to St Lucia and then on to the Virgin Islands where she spent the hurricane season ashore in Tortola in a hurricane cradle - fortunately there were no hurricanes that year. She returned to the UK in 2008 and cruised the West Country and Brittany in 2009. 2010 was spent sailing to Sweden and visiting Holland, Germany, Denmark and Belgium on the way back.
The 420 defines the latest generation of Island Packet designs, and embodies a host of proven design and construction features that have evolved over the years of boat-building experience and benefited from the feedback of owners. Representing a significant evolution from earlier models in this size range, the 420 delivers the combination of sea-keeping, safety, stability and speed coupled with comfort, livability and value that makes Island Packet Americas Cruising Yacht Leader.
