The GY 53 is a pure cruiser/racer. She was designed regardless of race rules, with the sole purpose to be a fast and beautiful boat. The waterlines are fine on the bow and powerful on the stern; the forepost has a slight overhang and the stern is sufficiently inclined to create a notable transom that adds elegance to the vessel. The overhangs are contained to ensure high critical speeds and good stern support; this allows high surfing facility under sail and a good trim under engine. The sailing performances are also supported by the generous sail plan and the high percentage of ballast. The elegant design of the deck house, which runs smoothly and continuously from bow to stern, and the deck details as well as the classic, wood-finished interiors, are proof of the designer’s and the yard’s dedication to building a vessel that is both traditional and innovative, and which represents something really new in 50 feet and over cruiser/racers.     This black boat it is launched in July 2008, it's in perfect condition, with many accessories (boat features, andoptional equipment list on request, if really interested).
