Stunning Fantasi 44 Pilothouse - Rare Opportunity.
This is a 2005 mod but she never saw water up until she was launched for the first time in 2012, originally built for the owner of the wharf. She is build nr: 21/21
The yachts produced at the Fantasi shipyard is considered world leading in terms of quality, design and performance. An Orust boat in the international sailing community is synonymous with long boat building traditions, superior quality and a burning love for elaborate craftsmanship. If you are searching for a sailboat in the premium segment such as Hallberg Rassy, Malö, Najad or Vindø, look no further.
Fantasi 44 is designed with quality, spaciousness and excellent sailing characteristics in mind. This is a large pilothouse boat with a length of 13.4 meters (45 feet). A highly robust long distance sailing vessel with capacity to bring your whole extended family. The large cockpit tent provides excellent protection against wind and weather.
All lines from the rigging are traced back to the cockpit which means that the boat can easily be sailed shorthanded. With two steering positions Fantasi 44 is an absolute dream in all sorts of weather conditions. In this boat, you will not have to go on deck in rough weather and the captain can remain dry and comfortable below deck. Both the mainsail and genoa have electric motors and these can easily be managed by the simple click of a button.
The Fantasi shipyard is internationally renowned for producing some of the most beautiful sailing vessels in the world with timeless elegance, high quality and an impeccable level of comfort central to their design philosophy.
Access by opening the pulpit or via folding transom (bathing platform). Beautiful and very well maintained teak decking. Instead of using Sixaflex the Fantasi yard has opted for a composite material which makes the joints in the teak decking near maintenance free. Large windows let in ample lighting and provides good visibility. Solid rig and plenty of open deck space. The steering position in the boat provides good visibility in all directions either if you are sitting or standing. Boxes and benches in the cockpit are teak-plated. There is plenty of storage space in cupboards and under the benches.
Down the stairs on the port side you will find a large and luxurious seating area that seats 8 people with a large folding table. On the starboard side, you will find helm No.2 and a spacious navigation area. Fantasi 44 is well equipped with all necessary systems such as VHF, radar, chart plotter, AIS transmitter / receiver and much more. There is a total of 3 GPS chartplotter systems in the boat so that in any part of the boat the captain has immediate access to maps and charts. The chart plotter systems are set up individually, convenient in the event of technical failure.
Further into the boat, on the port side one finds a large galley. The galley has a double gas burner, oven, double sink, refrigerator and plenty of storage space in drawers and cupboards. Fantasy 44 has three cabins, a main cabin, a double cabin and a single cabin.
The main cabin has a large double bed and is generously equipped with high cabinets for storing clothes and equipment. The main cabin is equipped with a factory installed separating wall in mahogany. In practice this solution makes a total of 4 cabins, but the separating wall can be easily removed if desirable. Above the main cabin a large deck hatch provides plenty of natural daylight. The boat has a 220 volt power outlets throughout the vessel. On board, there are both 12 volt and 220-volt, master volt system, this system automatically switches to the equipment being connected. The bathroom has a giant shower complete with a sink and toilet and plenty of closet space.
Fantasi 44 holds a consistently high standard, and the boat appears to be as new. This stunning Fantasi 44 Pilothouse hull #21 is not only the last, finished in 2007, but also the least used, the sailing season in norway is short, she is kept indoors when hauled and has never been taken on a longer cruise. She is, from her beautifully finished mahogany interior down to the most minute installations, virtually a new yacht. Her build quality is amazing. The hull was built in 2005 but she was launched into water for the first time in 2012. Before that time, she was privately held by the owner of the shipyard, given his workload he never had time to launch and start using the boat. This boat is in pristine condition immediately ready for new adventures. Throughout her life, she has only been in use for a total of 14 weeks. The current owner has to sell the boat due to his family situation.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a unique sailboat, due to Fantasi’s very limited production, all the vessels are crafted and hand built, this is not your standard mass production sailboat. So far only 21 Fantasi 44 Pilothouse have been built, and this is the third one ever being offered up for sale on the second-hand market. This is truly a rare opportunity to acquire one of the best sailboats in the world in its class.
Fantasy 44 is a boat that retains its speed and stability even if it is loaded heavily. With a lead keel of 4.4 tons and a total weight of 13 tons, the boat is very stable and secure, even in heavy seas. In wind conditions of 11 to 12 meters pr second it is no problem to achieve around 9 knots during sailing. The combination of its hull and keel design makes her a very quick and smooth sailboat.
