For those of you who know Wauquiezs, there are few boats that are as luxurious, tough and perform as well as these. MUNGO is a fine example of what Wauquiez has to offer.

MUNGO,  ordered new by the seller, was built and imported from France with the goal of going offshore.  She was commissioned in Vancouver and extensively outfitted with an equipment list that will surprise and impress you.

Following an 18 month series of shakedowns, MUNGO departed Victoria in 2006 with San Francisco as her destination. Over the next three years MUNGO sailed to Mexico, Central America and South America.

MUNGO's travels were interrupted due to health concerns of one of her owners and was shipped via Yacht Path from Costa Rica to Victoria in April 2011.

In May she was refit with new canvas (to accommodate BC winters), ground tackle, radome; anemometer, VHF aerial; and dinghy.  The rigging and sails were inspected, the engine was fully gone over and all exterior teak was re-varnished.

Numerous innovative features of this boat will also impress you, like the transom that lowers to become a swim grid for ease of boarding and just opening up your outdoor space. Life raft storage at the stern is hidden away, but immediately available when the transom is dropped. These are only some of the features and benefits that will impress you about this sought after design.

If your thinking of buying an offshore vessel or a performance but luxurious and rugged coastal cruiser , why buy new when you can have MUNGO for a fraction of the cost, Canadian duties are paid and an optional equipment list in excess of $75,000 is included in the price. No need for shakedowns, she has already been off shore. She is certified for open ocean sailing under the rigerous Europeon Classification System

Wauquiezs are built to exacting standards with luxurious finishings in teak. Her salon is raised enabling those at that table to look straight out at the water through large but safe windows. Both cabins are comfortable and spacious, with well thought out ergonomics and storage.

MUNGO has done it once, and ready to do it again; Turn key ready to go. Come and see for yourself the comfort, performance and safety that MUNGO offers, then imagine yourself sailing to exotic locations in this exceptional vessel.
