Monterey 282 CR

Monterey always packs a lot of features into their sport cruisers, and the Monterey 282 has everything a family needs to enjoy a weekend afloat. Built on a Deep-V hull with a 10' Beam, the 282 is a comfortable boat below and her floor plan, with its booth-style Dinette, is quite different from most midsize cruisers, its forward backrest folding down to increase the size of the forward berth. The Head is also quite large and comes with a hinged seat over the toilet which makes changing clothes or taking a shower very comfortable. The Double Berth is forward, and twin settees in the Mid-Cabin convert into a large Double Berth. The Dinette also converts into a berth for a couple of young children.

Topside, the Cockpit is arranged with an Aft-facing Seat behind the Double Helm, Wet Bar with storage to port, and a Removable Rear Seat which makes for easy fishing. A Transom Door opens to a big Swim Platform where Fenders and Dock lines can be stored in a Transom compartment. A good performer with the Twin 280HP Volvos, the Monterey 282 will cruise at 30 knots and reach a top speed in the mid 40s. She is fully equipped including AC / Heat, Anchor windlass, foredeck sun pad, Kenwood stereo with CD changer, TV VCR, Vacuflush head and Uniden VHF Radio. She also boasts a full galley with microwave, dual-burner stove and a coffee maker.
