The Island Packet is an excellent blue water cruiser with a large comfortable cockpit, wide side decks, built in stern swim step and platform, bow sprit, and broad anchor platform, all designed to provide maximum confidence and safety on deck. The Bly is exceedingly well-equipped and maintained. She is ready for an extended blue water crossing! Bly is an extension of all the decades of refinement and improvement of Bob Johnsons Island Packet line of fine cruising sailboats. Designed to be as adept at world cruising with superior seakeeping and delightful sailing characteristics as she is gunkholing up and down the coast with her wonderful accommodations, the Island Packet 370 can satisfy a broad range of sailor’s demands.
Number of double berths: 3
Number of cabins: 2
Number of heads: 1
Below decks the Island Packet 370 offers the first quality craftsmanship and materials that they have come to be known for. With a beautiful teak interior, Corian countertops, Ultraleather upholstery, solid bevel-planked teak and oak flooring, polished stainless steel handgrips and lights, and integral overhead screens and shades the quality is obvious. Stowage throughout the yacht is exceptional, with 300 cubic feet of enclosed space available. Eleven stainless steel ports, six deck hatches, and three dorade vents provide the entire interior with abundant light and ventilation
Master Stateroom Forward is the master stateroom with a large island berth with innerspring mattress. The foot end of the berth easily raises on gas struts and provides a large stowage area for those bulky items. Additional storage is found in the cedar lined hanging locker, bureaus, deep drawers and wide shelves.
Head The head is forward of the main salon. Doors from both the forward stateroom and the main salon provide both easy access and privacy for owners and guests . There is a separate stall shower with folding acrylic doors and an electric sump drain. Ample cabinetry storage is provided by the built in vanity.
Main Salon . Full length port and starboard seating areas are both comfortable and practical, and the port settee has been converted to two barrel chairs . Massive storage is available under and outboard of the settees. Cedar lined hanging locker with shelf over.
Aft Stateroom and Nav Area The aft cabin, cleverly configured for great sleeping accommodations is also a multi-use area. The desk in the aft stateroom can be used as a vanity, a navigation station, or work station. The nav table top lifts to reveal a storage tray and a vanity mirror mounted on its underside. A removable hinged panel in the forward bulkhead opens and joins this area with the saloon when desired. The aft berth also has the lift up to access additional storage as in the forward stateroom. It is hard to decide which of the two staterooms would be considered the master. Both with island style berths offer great accommodations for owners and guests.
Bly's galley is U shaped and works well whether underway or at the dock.
