Wauquiez 40 Pilot Saloon, built in 2003 by Wauquiez in France to a Berret / Racoupeau design. White GRP hull and superstructure with teak laid decks and fin keel. Wheel steering and emergency tiller.

Accommodation
Burmese teak interior joinery with Camel brown Alcantara upholstery in saloon & Juliana saloon curtains. Large comfortable U-shaped settee in saloon with folding dining table and two stools with s/s legs. Navigation area has chart table, book rack, electronics panel, cirarette lighter (12v), reading light above & cushioned seat with locker under. Double aft cabin with double centreline berth, lee cloths, ensuite heads compartment with electric quiet flush wc (installed 2011), separate shower cubicle and sink. Forward cabin also has double berth and private wc and shower cubicle with sink. Victoria bed linen for both cabins, co-ordinated cushions and pillows. Galley is well equipped with marble look worktops, s/s 2 x burner gimballed cooker with oven and removable stove cover, s/s double sink with mixer tap & pressurised hot & cold water, 12v/80lt refrigerator, top-loading icebox, waste bin, cutlery & Wauquiez crockery, fresh & seawater footpump. Volvo Penta D2-55 diesel engine, 55hp (420 hours run (June 2011) in insulated engine compartment, MaxProp 3 x blade feathering propeller, 30mm diam. Prop shaft, rope cutter. 12v/60a/h alternator & 12v/80a/h engine battery. 3 x 12v/140a/h service batteries,40 a/h battery charger, shorepower with electrical outlets in all cabins, galley, chart table & aft heads. Fuel filter with wate separator. 17lt/min electric bilge pump.

Rigging
Sloop rig with anodised aluminium deck-stepped mast & boom, 2 x sets of spreaders and s/s standing rigging. Rigid vang. Quick Reef system, Harken track & batten cars, lazy jacks & bag. Profurl manual genoa furling. S/s standing rigging, running rigging for main & genoa (halyards, sheets & blocks). Spinnaker pole with stowage on mast, spinnaker gear.
Sails: Fully battened mainsail. 140% furling genoa. Tri-radial spinnaker.
Winches: Andersen winches: 2 x 46.2 s/s s/t primary winches and 2 x 40.2 halyard winches.

Navigation
Autohelm 400G gyro compass, Raymarine ST60 log, speed, depth, windspeed/direction and repeaters. Autohelm ST60 GPS (aerial on pushpit) and ST7001+ pilot with dual controls, Raytheon RL70CRC colour radar/chartplotter and Raymarine Ray 230E DCS/VHF (fixed) & antenna. Tricolour/360° white masthead light. C-map superwide C216, C-map wide C208. EPIRB 406.
