The interior is as it came from the builder. Teak is minimal and none is exposed to the sun making her easy to maintain and an ideal boat for southern year-round exposure. The interior may be washed down and cleaned like few other interiors.
Owners Stateroom: The owner’s stateroom is forward and consists of an oversized vee-berth with optional filler with stowage beneath. There is a hanging locker and a multi-drawer chest for gear. The only teak is fitted to the sides of the vee-berth and the exterior of the head. Included is an Intervac central vacuum system.
Head: Large molded head that makes cleaning and maintenance easy. There is a Sealand VacuFlush fresh water electric head with holding tank or optional overboard discharge with lock (in compliance with USCG/EPA regulations). There is also a holding tank level monitor. The remainder of the head features a large H/C shower, with sump, sink, large hatch and ample storage
Main Salon: The main saloon begins forward with the steering station, instrumentation and chart area. There is an extremely comfortable and adjustable custom captain’s chair, covered in ultra-leather. The front folds up to convert into a leaning post when desired. A two person mate seat is to port also in ultra-leather. Multiple lighting throughout.
The configuration is galley up to starboard that features Corian-type counter tops, twin SS sinks, Fridgiboat Refrigerator/Freezer, three burner Princess propane cook top, and Tappan Microwave, ample storage throughout. To port is a dinette with ultra-leather cushions, seats four (4) convertible to six (6). The table is Corian-ltype and raises and lowers electronically. The dinette converts to a large 6’6” double berth for guests or children. There is also a Raritan Ice Maker. Engine and generator access is provided by a large and smaller hatch.
This is one of the few examples with a hard-back to the main saloon featuring two sliding doors with lock. The entire cabin may be enclosed with Textilene sun/privacy covers which provide a respite from the sun, but permit those inside to look out.
Air Conditioning/Heat: Both the forward and main cabins feature optional reverse cycle Air Conditioning not found on many other TN 38’s. AC/Heat is Marine Air 12,000 Btu unit in the main saloon and a 7,000 Btu unit forward, each individually controlled. There is also an optional ESPAR heater for operation in cold climates. Nearly all the windows open and most screened for fresh air when desired.
Cockpit: An extra large cockpit is a feature of True North the hallmark reverse opening transom provides for easy tender or dock access and makes swimming easy. The cockpit has silver Sunbrella Bimini cover that was refurbished, waterproofed and new boot made (2014). The TN38 was designed to stow up to a ten (10) ft. RIB, inflatable or dingy in the cockpit with the opening transom providing access to launch and retrieve your inflatable or dingy. There is a built in swim ladder (new 2014) as well as plenty of storage for gear. Multiple hatches provid access to the drive train, tanks and steering. The cockpit also has fresh and salt water wash-downs as well as a H/C fresh water deck shower. Lighting includes flood and courtesy lights. Two (2) rod holders. Flag pole holder.

Removal and reinstallation by Yarmouth Boat Yard, Yarmouth, ME who, along with Mack Boring will verify engine and other mechanical and electronics work. Cost upwards of $55,000.
