She should be left in a position to access her to be launched for a sea trial during the winter months...but now would be the best time to make the seller an offer prior to storage expenses!

Listed on 8/25/2016 and arrived in Annapolis/Crownsville on 8/30/2016, she looks amazing. Highly upgraded and maintained! Seller's thoughts:

For 30 years we sailed an Albin Ballad 30. It had no hot water, no refrigeration, no chart plotter or radar – it was camping on a boat. But boy could she sail. We could outpoint and outsail many larger boats as long as we had 12 knots of wind. When we retired, we wanted a boat with more amenities, more comfort, but we did not want to sacrifice performance. And if we could find a boat that performed in light air, so much the better. We also did not want a really deep keel given the depths of the Chesapeake. The Sabre 362 was the answer. It was voted the 1994 Mid-size Cruiser Boat of the Year by Cruising World.  It points well, moves well in light air, and has a wing keel. Besides that she came with the larger, more reliable Yanmar engine, air conditioning, extra cabinets in the stern cabin, and electric main halyard winch, all factory upgrades. We added solar panels, a new chart plotter and radar in 2015, a new windlass (because the old one failed), new canvas and a partial enclosure, and replaced the Dutchman system with the easier U-stack system in 2015, We also replaced the sails in 2015 because we like to perform well. We did not want the expense of racing sails, but we felt we could do better with new sails. You know how it is whenever two sailboats get side by side. It’s a race. Mainestay has been up the Atlantic coast from St. Simon’s Island to Beaufort, NC, and then on the Intercoastal Waterway to our house on the Chesapeake, all over the Bay, and up to and all around Long Island Sound. She has been well used, and well loved.

We are getting older and were thinking about moving to a trawler to stay on the water. We were not planning to make this move for a year or two, but the boat we wanted, with all the features we wanted, fell into our lap at a good price. We felt we would be kicking ourselves two years down the road if we didn’t take advantage of this opportunity. So Mainestay is on the market. If we could keep and maintain both boats, we probably would. Whoever gets her will get one wonderful sailboat.
