Built by Merrifield Roberts in 2003, OCEAN STATE has done service in New York, New England and the Caribbean. With the nifty swim platform, OCEAN STATE can serve as a dive boat as well.

This design is very economical to operate. At 1800 rpm and a light load, fuel burn is reported at 36 gallons per hour. At 30 knots (2050 rpm) the fuel burn is 55/56-gph light and 85 gph heavy.

Both MTUs were rebuilt at the end of service of the 2006 season. Constant service and preventative maintenance have been the trend with this vessel. Weekly fuel filters and constant attention supplement annual maintenance which include fuel pumps, circulating pumps, and raw water pumps.
