This is a one owner custom boat that has been thoughtfully designed, built and cruised. The hull, deck and superstructure were constructed by Custom Steel Boats, Inc. out of Merrit, NC in 1995. They also installed the engine, generator at the same time.
Between 1995-1999 the exterior was painted in Maryland. The stateroom and bathrooms were also built out during this time.
The owner completed the vessel interior and operating systems from 1995 to 2003. Every effort was made to create a comfortable, fun, safe and secure cruising vessel! Particular attention was given to create a great engine room!
Ramblin' Rose then traveled to Harbortown Marina in Fort Pierce, Florida.
New sails and rigging were installed in 2003 by Mack Sails.
The owners have enjoyed living aboard and have taken three 6 week trips to the Bahamas.
The bottom was painted in 2010. The exterior teak has recently been refinished.
The owners haved moved ashore and Ramblin Rose is waiting for her next adventure.
The vessel is accessed via the large center cockpit into the pilot house level with lower helm station, engine controls and navigational instruments. Panoramic windows and windshield provide excellent visability in the raised pilothouse level. Going aft, step down to the passageway leading to the Master Stateroom which features a centerline queen berth, vanity table, abundant cabinets and a large ensuite head and shower stall. Continuing forward from the pilothouse, step down and find the engine room access via a watertight door to the right at the base of the stairs. Next is a large "U" shaped galley to port. Upholstered benches with a dinette table is opposite. This main salon area also incorporates the large U shaped settee that converts to a double and navigation station to starboard. Clever use of slide up panels between the galley/dinette offer privacy for guests. The forward head with separate shower stall is separated by the anchor locker area by another watertight door.
