The layout is a classic center cockpit with huge aft cabin with centerline queen berth and large head with separate shower to starboard along the engine space. The galley runs along the pass through on the port side of the engine space with a large working area.
The dinette to starboard and nav station to port take up up the salon with small settee area for relaxing.
Forward is the guest cabin with a double Pullman berth to starboard, storage to the port and a large head/shower combo in the Vee.
There are Hella 12V fans around the interior and dual MarineAire air conditioning units as well.
The galley runs the entire length of the engine space along the port side pass through to the aft cabin. There is a huge 12V fridge including a small freezer space with double door access. It also includes a microwave, double sink and propane stove.
The boat received a lightning strike that took out the original electronics. So in 2014, the owner replaced the entire system with an upgraded Garmin suite of units.
That includes at the helm a Garmin 4210 chartplotter/GPS, Garmin GHC10 autopilot display and Garmin GHS10 VHF, a Garmin GMI10 multi display, and a Garmin VHF200.
The system also includes AIS transceiver capability.
At the nav station is a Sony Marine stereo with Sirius (no contract).
At the companionway , is an ACR EPIRB.
The electrical system includes a Next Gen 5 KW diesel generator in the engine space. Current hours show 680. It is convenient to charge batteries, run the a/c and other 110V systems at anchor. A large single solar panel is mounted on the aft davits and helps maintain the 12 V system charge. A Dolphin 40 A battery charger supplies the charge from shore power or the generator. At the nav station, a Xantrex battery monitor keeps track of the power usage and battery status.
The engine is the original Yanmar 4JH3E 54 hp. The access is gained by lifting the companionway stairs forward or thru a access panel in the aft cabin. A dripless stuffing box is on the straight shaft drive. And there is access to fuel and water filters for both the engine and generator.
An electric bow thruster is installed to aid in close in maneuvering.
Sails and Rigging
Errantry has a classic US Spar rig with a full battened mainsail and furling genoa. The main is in a zippered stack pack with lazy jacks. All lines are run to the cockpit providing access during short or single handed sailing.
The lines are controlled by Lewmar self-tending 2 speed winches with ST 54's on the jib sheets, a ST 40 on the main sheet and an electric ST40 on the main halyard.
A mast mounted track hold the whisker pole ready for use. And there is an additional inner forestay for a second hank on working or storm jib.
A brand new set of cockpit cushions complements the helm area. The cockpit is also protected by a hard built-in dodger and full bimini. Side enclosure curtains are included.
The ground tackle includes a new Rocna 55# primary anchor on all chain rode. In the anchor locker is a secondary Bruce 66# anchor with chain/rope rode. And there is a kedge Fortress anchor on the aft deck. Forward the anchors are managed by a oversized electric windlass.
On the aft deck is the radar mast with radar, VHF antenna, GPS antenna and outboard motor crane. The dinghy davits support both the dinghy and the solar panel.
A Viking 4 man life raft with current inspection is mounted just behind the cockpit on the aft deck. There is alos a life sling and large Type IV on the rails.
The dinghy is a AB aluminum bottom inflatable with a new-ish 2014 Yamaha 2.5 hp air cooled 4 stroke outboard.
The large aft deck has two huge deck lockers for storage and converts to a swim platform and access area by sliding the panel forward and lowering the platform. Great for access to and from the water or a dinghy.
