Bayliner 288 Flybridge Diesel cruiser

Modern, well designed and built to US coastguard standards. This is the European version with her economicall 4.2 liter Mercruiser engine, Diesel heating, Electric anchor windlass and 240 volt shorepower battery charger and microwave has it all. The owner last year added a 3HP bow thruster so you now have the benefit of enhanced manoeverability and still have the lower running and maintainence costs of a single diesel engined vessel.

Light and spacious the main saloon is ideal for entertaining there is a large front opening refrigerator and microwave oven, the 2 burner spirit stove means there is no potentially dangerous gas onboard. The marine head is seperate from the saloon and incorporates the shower.

Sleeping accomodation consists of a generous double berth in the forepart of the vessel, there is storage on shelves beside the bunk, storage underneath the bunk and hanging lockers aft of the area- there is an opening hatch above, an overhead light and reading lights.   The saloon settee converts to a double berth ( see photo) and a further double berth is cleverly located under the saloon settee area which has its own lights and modesty curtain.   

 The cockpit is large , there is a stern door to the swim platform and a dive ladder hinges down from the platform, a ladder takes you up to the flybridge from where you can view the world - steer the ship or sip a sundowner - this is a boat for enjoyment. Incidentally the ship also can be helmed from the saloon, there are wipers on the forward windscreens and when the weather is bad even hardened mariners enjoy the Eberspacher D4 Diesel heating -incidentaly  the shower compartment has its own heater outlet.

Only 2 owners from new she spent much of her life in the lake district before moving to her current owner.

The sale includes her flybridge cover, various canvas covers for the cockpit/flybridge, cockpit carpets, Raymarine GPS chartplotter, Simrad DSC VHF, Garmin depth / Fishfinder, Pioneer CD stereo, marine television antenae, several 13 amp ringmain double sockets, warps, fenders boathook, manuals, handbooks etc.  

Out of the water and in front of our office  she has just had a good service including new bellows, new prop, coolers cleaned, new impeller and the usual lubricants and filters, The hull is freshly antifouled so for the 2012 season - just launch and go !!
