By virtue of its hull design the Bavaria 32 has as much room as bigger yachts. The companionway leads to a conventional interior with the galley and aft cabin to port, head to starboard, saloon amidships and a forepeak master cabin.
Hand laid fiberglass aramid fabric for extra strength with a solid laminate below the waterline. Latitudinal stringers and structural grid is laminated to hull with S Glass.and exterior coat of isophtallic resin ensures a watertight hull free of osmosis.
The galley is fitted with blue formica-like countertops with recessed icebox and fridge, bordered by fiddle rails and topped with a useful amount of food-prep. There is a single mixer sink tap and circular stainless sink in which you can stack plates, and a two-burner gimbaled gas stove/oven complete the amenities. Drawers and mahogany lockers line the galley for ample stowage of cutlery, cooking-ware and china.
The saloon has lots of lockers and glass racks that surround the large central mahogany dining table. There are handrails to help your passage in a seaway, opening portholes and 12V halogen lighting. Plenty of room exists to move through the saloon when the table leaves are folded away. The blue fabric-covered settees can be used as sea berths.
The large head is aft of the companionway and chart table. The head includes a manual pump-out toilet linked to a holding tank, a moulded vanity with sink and a large wet locker for wet gear.
The two cabins each have double berths and plenty of storage in hanging lockers and over head compartments. The forward cabin has a V berth, twin hanging lockers, and a small dressing settee. The aft cabin is comfortable place to rest in a seaway on a starboard tack. The overhead hatches and ports provide plenty of light and ventilation.
The Bavaria 32 is powered by a diesel 20 hp freshwater-cooled Volvo MD 2020 engine with saildrive to motor the boat easily at 7 knots. Engine access is made easy by a gas-strut that assist to raise the companionway steps. There are hatches to most parts of the boat, so you can access the fridge unit, seacocks, steering, batteries and pumps. All the water pumps have inline filters.
On deck, all the lines lead to the cabin top jammers. The halyard winches are single-speed Harken 16s, the primaries are two-speed 32s that make light work of trimming the headsail. The cockpit is large, the sole and seats are covered in teak. Under the starboard seat is a large deep storage bin that will fit most any thing. There is a fold down table for al fresco dining as well. The steering wheel is big, but is easy to get around to the removable helm seat, which gives access the transom and swim ladder. The all inclusive Raymarine electronics package are practically mounted at the helm for easy safe navigation.
With all lines leading back to the large cockpit with stoppers, big Harken #32 winches, and the well balanced rig and sail plan give the Bavaria 32 ease of sailing comfort for all.
