A lovely cruising yacht in exceptional shape built in Rhode Island by venerable builder Merrifield Roberts, JESS SEA will explore oceans or cruise gracefully, functioning as a waterfront home in style, safety and comfort.
With a very large cockpit, three staterooms--the master being full width and sumptuous, four crew berths, three heads, and a large open salon adjacent to the restaurant sized galley, Jess Sea is more than just a large vacation home with great space: she is a functional, rugged yacht with the ability to cruise in nearly unlimited fashion, all latitudes. Her large cockpit has two dining tables, a separate steering station, and has entertained parties of 40. She has a very large aft deck and spacious foredeck with great seating and entertaining areas.
Like many custom yachts, JESS SEA was built without regard to expense, and as such, presents as a top quality yacht from a hi end yard with systems and fittings at the level and durability of far larger yachts. Unlike many custom yachts, however, her maintenance has been continuously to hi standards.
What really sets her apart is that design and execution of her systems has been carefully and very intelligently planned and organized. Always run by professional crew and cared for in hi-style, she is equipped to the point where very little can be done to improve her.
Her current owners time and other interests have prevented usage, and she is now available to a cruiser who has aspirations to explore extreme regions in utmost safety, confidence, comfort.
Designed for short handed sailing in style and ease, she is an outstanding buy considering her condition, pedigree, overall investment, equipment and abilities. by her owners estimates, she has cost over US$8,000,000 to build And commission and Truly, she is a sharpened saw.
Originally at an asking price of $3.9mn, a dramatic price reduction has her now at 1.75mn, and her owner may consider a trade of a smaller vessel, picnic boat style.
