Why $100,000.00 more than others? If you ended up here in the process of shopping for a sailboat in this class...thanks for stopping. You might ask what it is about this 2002 that justifies a price that is as much as $100,000.00 more than others that are available that are essentially the same age, comparable condition with low hours and similarly equipped? The truthful answer is that there is nothing worth mentioning about the boat itself that I could explain it...unless you are interested in what has been reported to us by the owner as a transferable, live aboard slip in Marina del Rey. (Of course, subject to verfication with and meeting the marina application requirements).
Live Aboard is not the Goal? If that is not your goal, it's obvious that there is a long list of 460's and 466's (as well as other fine boats in a similar (lower) price range and condition available that might make more sense for you. This boat has been for sale for literally years by no less than 3 brokers as well as the owner, all attempting to find a buyer. Apparently, no one has seen the value implied by the asking price but if you have an interest in the slip arrangement, you can always make a reasonable offer and move on if it doesn't land a deal that is acceptable.

TO: Art Burnevik, Pacific Yacht Broker, Inc.
"I wanted to express my sincere thanks for ALL the time and work you dedicated to finding and closing the deal on my newly purchased 200 Hunter 460 sailboat. I have been shopping for a sailboat for a couple of years and called several brokers inquiring about their listings. All of them took my name and number, and none ever called me back. I was shocked when my first call to you was nearly an hour long conversation about what I was looking for and what type of sailing I planned to do. Your knowledge and experience with boating and brokering was comforting.
Over the past several months, you sent me specs on several boats to consider; each with an impressive evaluation. There's no doubt the boat you highly recommended and I selected was the best deal available for my needs.
II also want to say thank you for your honest and candid opinions about each of the boats we viewed. It's refreshing to have a broker point out things that are wrong with a boat, and things that should be changed or upgraded. Specifically, you spent ab estimated 15 or more hours on my boat inspecting it in the water, sea trial, haul-out and survey.
You handled the sale with my interest at hand, and everything went very smooth. I've owned the boat for 3 weeks now, and you continue to be an available asset helping me get maintenance and find other sources of information.
My family and I are enjoying smooth sailing, thanks to you. You have my highest recommendation.
