There are not a significant number of these Grand Banks 52's on the market at a given moment in time. Consequently this is the first one I have had an opportunity to go aboard and scrutinise in detail. I was very surprised at how many people can sleep on her. She does resemble an iceberg in that there is a huge amount of space below containing a sizeable engine and generator room, 3 cabins, 2 heads, crew accommodation for 4 with a further heads and shower along with a washing machine and dryer. Air-conditioning which can be reversed for heating is in each cabin and can be controlled individually. The flybridge is so vast you could be forgiven for mistaking it for a flight deck for landing light aircraft! The owner informs me that they have had many friends onboard being entertained through the night, making good use of the built in grill / barbecue and music system. When you are done entertaining shoreside and it is time to cast off, there aren't many sea conditions that this boat can't tackle with her robust trawler styling and high gunwhales. For longer periods cruising away from home she is extremely self-sufficient with 2 generators and a water-maker, 2 fridges and a deep freezer, air-conditioning, cabin heating and a full complement of navigation equipment. For close quarters maneuvering both a bow-thruster and a stern-thruster are there to assist, enabling the vessel to be handled by as few as two people. Truly timeless in design like a Panerai or Patek Philippe timepiece, only the owner will know whether it is 4 years or 40 years old. These boat details are subject to contract. Note: Offers on the asking price may be considered. ![]() | ||
