Twin Crusader 8.1 L HO's with V-drive

Long a Cruisers top-seller, the 3672 for 2002 takes the finish characteristics of top-end motor yachts and incorporates them into a smaller express yacht.

Aboard, Cruisers has incorporated custom cockpit upholstery and below, solid-stock, raised-panel cherrywood with a golden-pewter colour scheme. All this on an 18,000-lb. boat that sings along at a top speed of 36 mph from its multiport fuel injected Crusader 8.1 HO's.

Cruisers has taken a page from larger motor yachts that have designed access below along one side of the boat so it doesn’t interfere with functional space. The 3672 puts access below from the cockpit area along the port side rather than through the middle. You can walk straight in, pass the icemaker and head below.

Meanwhile, the cockpit and circular sun seat and the aft sitting area are packaged together. The feeling of intimacy is unmistakable.

Below, the 3672 offers a single stateroom layout with a very comfortable and well-appointed settee that converts into a double berth.

Directly across from the galley is a large Ultraleather dinette/sofa, refreshed by well-placed side and top vents.

The main stateroom has a side-angled bed and the classy return of short shag carpeting protected by carpet runners. Once again, there’s plenty of ventilation as well as cedar-lined closets and large drawers in the frame below the bed. The head offers nice tile-like floor covering, a separate shower with seat and an overhead hatch and side portal.

Back out in the open air, the deck rakes down to the pulpit and the side railings rise toward a forward arch and the deck is accessible through a large centre-windshield walkthrough. Aft, a huge swim platform adds to the sleek package.

At 3,500 rpm, she cruises confidently at 27 mph, getting there from a dead stop in 8.4 seconds.

Other options include 7.3 Kohler Genset, AC/Heat and a TracDish mounted on the arch so you can watch the big game or your favorite show on satellite tv at the dock, underway or in a cove without messing with triangulating the dish. It is wired for a flat sceen in the cockpit as well as in the salon.
