Solid GRP construction to hull with integral liner with a deep blue hull and white topsides. Balsa sandwich construction decks provide insulation and stiffness and are overlaid with teak for a beautiful finish and functional non slip surface.
Stainless steel pull-pit and push-pit liked by twin guard wires provide security on deck as well as mountings for an outboard and life buoy. Davits house the tender and there is a life raft stored on the foredeck. There is also a swinging lift arm for moving the outboard motor to and from the tender when required.
Twin wheels control the semi balanced spade rudder while 2 pairs of winches take care of the rope-work. The mainsheet winch and both genoa sheet winches are electric.
The interior is a mix of lustrous high quality wood combined with white interior mouldings and galley worktops which gives a sense of warmth and light.
- The boat was anti-fouled and had the hull polished just prior to launching in 2016
Labasheeda is powered by a 100hp Yanmar diesel engine driving a 3 bladed Max Fold folding propeller. The bow thruster is a great aid to docking and close quarter manoeuvring in a boat of this size.
A bank of 4 batteries charged by engine or battery charger provide engine start and domestic power. These were replaced 4 years ago. The engine has 2 alternators to increase charging capacity. There is also a flexible solar panel which can be used to charge the batteries.
- Yanmar 100hp engine serviced November 2015
- Twin alternators
- Solar charging
Sails and Rigging

She has triple spreaders and twin back-stays with tension adjuster. The alloy mast and spars are uprated with a slightly taller mast than standard and a heavier duty boom. Standing rigging is stainless steel. The furling system has also been uprated with a Pro-Furl system.
All sails are the originals purchased with the boat and are constructed of Mylar sandwich by Incidence in France.
