Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 473

The French Beneteau yard has a good reputation when it comes to designing and building spacious and comfortable sailing yachts. This Oceanis 473 Clipper is a good example of a  family cruiser with both pleasant sailing qualities and lots living room. The design is timeless and offers great comfort.

The cockpit is very spacious and has a folding table in the middle that offers place for a large group of people. Both sprayhood and bimini provide shelter under any weather condition. The double helm make passage easy and all navigation instruments including autopilot are within reach. On the bridge deck are four Lewmar selftailing winches where all sheets, halyards and trimming lines are lead. One halyard winch is electrical so that hoisting the main is done at the push of a button. In the anchor locker is a heavy model windlass so that the anchor can be hoisted without effort. The stern has an integrated bathing platform with warm and cold water shower.

 
The interior has a dark mahogany finish in beautiful contrast with the white ceiling and sides. The salon has a spacious and comfortable sitting area with modern Alcantara blue cushions and a large table in the middle. This can be transferred into an extra bed in little time.  To starboard is a galley with double sink, stove and very large cooler. The kitchen has plenty of storage for supplies. In the bow is a large double owner's cabin with bathroom, complete with shower, a wash bowl and plenty of storage. In the aft are two large double cabins. In the salon you will find a large bathroom and the navigation area at portside. The 78hp engine is easily accessible for service by the tilting stairs.

All in all, this Beneteau Oceanis 473 Clipper is a very successful design with many nice details. Inside really enjoyable to stay and outside fun to sail with.
