Stepping aboard Brisa is made easy through her low swim platform and stern entrance. Alternatively when side boarding, her lifeline gates and smooth combings make it easy to board or disembark.
The main cockpit is very well protected, and ideal for blue water cruising. All lines are led aft to the winches, and most are within easy reach of the helm. A large bulkhead seals the cockpit from the stern and provides storage for the liferaft, sea anchor, fenders, etc.This acts as a nice seat or backrest when at the helm, or even a place for a large cutting board to filet a fresh catch!
Engine controls are at the helm, with gauges to starboard. Solar panels (port and starboard) provide ample charging power for the batteries and fold away flat when not needed.
The main feature of the cockpit area is without a doubt the hard dodger with full standing headroom and wrap around tempered glass windows providing full protection from the elements. While at anchor or at the dock, a clear zip-up enclosure seals the aft end of the cockpit seating area, and on sunny days, an awning can be installed over the helm for shade.
Two bench seats are divided by a varnished table with storage. Opening ceiling hatches provide light and air. Instrumentation is located on the bulkhead with great visibility from the helm.
Stepping out of the cockpit and onto the deck, you'll notice the large expanse as you walk forward. Tall lifelines and solid stainless hand rails provide a secure hand hold and ergonomic angles make for sure-footing at any angle of heel.
Ample deck hatches provide light and air into the cabin. A large deck hatch on the boat provides access to a large storage area for the dinghy, engine, lines, etc.
The deck layout is simple with only the required fittings mounted. A removable inner headstay provides additional sail configuration options, and a secure mounting point for a storm jib if required.
An oversized windlass retrieves the Delta anchor through the fixed carbon fiber bowsprit which also has a roller for a second anchor as well as a fitting for attaching the tack of a cruising gennaker.
A large companionway hatch makes descending into the main salon easy and comfortable, while secure hand holds ensure safe movement throughout the interior. Brisa's interior is very light and airy, providing a warm interior without the feeling of being "down below". Large windows and hatches in every space provide light and ventilation
Her layout is custom designed to be functional while underway. A large rectangular galley provides excellent counter space, storage, refrigeration and freezer access. A dedicated navigation desk to starboard and an enormous main salon with a wrap around dinette with a beautifully crafted folding table to port and straight settee to starboard.
Between the main salon and forward master stateroom is a bulkhead with a diesel heater built into the furniture. This is a fabulous feature which not only heats the cabin, but also pumps hot water through piping to warm the floors and a towel rack in the master head!
The master stateroom is forward with a walk around island berth, and was used by the current owners while at anchor or in port. This stateroom has great storage, lots of light, and access to an en-suite head with full separate stand up shower.
Moving back through the boat, the second stateroom is in the starboard quarter. This was primarily used by the owners while underway. Ample storage, light, and ventilation make this a very comfortable guest cabin, and the second head is just across on the port side of the companionway.
The entire port quarter of the Brisa is a dedicated workshop/laundry area with full work bench, vise, tool storage, and combination washer/dryer. This area is access through the guest head and there is a large overhead hatch that opens for standing headroom.
Extensive engine access is available from this area in addition to under the companionway stairs. The generator is housed in the same location. Additional machinery space is located aft of the workshop through a large watertight hatch. This accesses the dive compressor, steering gear, autopilots, watermaker, etc.
