Our Valiant 50 is the queen of this successful line of performance bluewater cruising yachts. The sea trials proved the boat sails extremely well on all points. The rig, sail plan and anchor / bowsprit of the Valiant 50 provide for simplicity in keeping with Valiant's commitment to shorthanded sailing. All halyards and lines used for normal sailing led to cockpit for safe short handed operation on all points of sail. Antal line stoppers used throughout.
Halyards: Main, Spare Jib, Port Spinnaker, & Starboard Spinnaker led to cockpit. Jib & Staysail halyards are at the mast. The Port Spinnaker halyard is extra long to reach the water, it's used to hoist the dingy on deck using the electric winch and can be used in a MOB situation.

Head: Manually operated Raritan PH II with large built-in plastic holding tank, with deck pump out or Y-valve system for overboard offshore discharge. Tank is removable.
Bilge Pumps: - Manual pump located in cockpit and electric 12 volt pump with automatic bilge float switch. Valiant Custom mounted on a removable assembly for easy of maintenance/cleaning.
- Galley - Grohe LadyLux Plus with single lever hot/cold control, extension hose, adjustable spray & swivel spout.

Both house banks are normally in parallel and monitored by two Xantrex Link 100 Charge Monitoring Systems (E-Meters), one per bank. All electronics are and ships 12 VDC systems are connected to bank one.
When the bow thruster is activated, the thruster system places house bank two temporarily in series to provide 24 VDC for thruster operation. When the thruster is no longer providing thrust, bank two is placed back in parallel with bank one.
Battery Switches: Master battery switches and breakers are located behind the compaion way steps, including an emergency parallel switch to jump the start battery from the house bank.
Battery Charge Systems - the following systems replensh the batteries:

NMEA 0183 Buss: Electronics are interconnected via two Shipmodul NMEA routers. Provides automatic fall back should one of the two GPSs fail. Also insures that NMEA packets are buffered and routed without packet loss between electronics. Full schematic wiring diagram is provided.
Nobeltec Visual Navigation Suite: VNS V9 Installed on ship's computer with map licenses covering Mexico through Alaska. Wired to ship's NMEA buss for monitoring of AIS, B&G 2000, and GPS systems.
Computer Displays: the computer supports two monitors: the Samsung 17" LCD primary display and you may also use the Runco PL-42c PlasmaWall as a secondary display. Handy for showing streaming movies. Very useful as a chart plotter display using VNS.

Sea Strainer: 3 x Bronze Sea Strainers: one for the Engine & Genset, one for the 2 x Cruiseair HVAC systems, & Seafrost Refrigeration, and one for the Village Marine MPW 400 RO Water Maker.
Engine Exhaust: Aqua lift with Valiant custom anti-siphon system.
Fuel Tanks: Marine alloy with clean-out, deck fills and vents. Fuel tanks are removable. System consists of two aft saddle tanks and a bow tank. A 12VDC transfer pump is activated to move the fuel from the bow tank to the aft tanks.
Seacocks: Bronze - stainless ball valves on all through hulls below waterline, with easy access for operating.
Automatic Fire Extinguisher: This ship is protected from Engine Room Fire by a heat sensitive, automatic fire extinguisher system.
Primary Anchor: Galvanized Bruce 44 lbs. Mounted on bow pulpit on 200 foot rode of 5/16" High Test chain.
Secondary Anchor: Galvanized CQR 60 lbs. Mounted bow pulpit on mixed rode of 5/16" High Test Chain and 200 feet of 3/4" 3-strand Nylon anchor rode.
Windlass: Lighthouse 1501 with dual gypsys. Chain and Rope (port) and Rope (starboard)
Stern Anchor: Galvanized Danforth 20 lbs mounted on custom stainless stern bracket on mixed chain and rope rode.
Gelcoat: Isophthalic gelcoat used exclusively on all large and small fiberglass parts.
Resin: Isophthalic resin used throughout the entire lay up of hull, deck, and all components. The resin is hand batched and catalyzed in one gallon increments. The catalyst - resin mixture is dyed to achieve proper wet out technique.
Hull: One piece solid fiberglass, hand laminated of alternate layers of mat and woven roving.
Deck: Hand laminated balsa cored fiberglass for strength weight ratio w-high density structural foam in high stressed areas.
Rub Rail: Molded in structural with sacrificial teak & stainless strake.

Raptor Dance walkthrough
Raptor Dance is the most extensively outfitted custom Valiant 50 ever produced by Valiant Yachts.
She was constructed with a single head/shower, which allowed a larger salon and a larger forward stateroom with a suite settee.
She has a center entry with a forward King berth with custom HMC foam Mattress, double large convertible lockers and aft head and shower, featuring corian counter-tops, incorporating only the finest quality materials and craftmanship.
Unsurpassed joinery work combined with select cherry as the primary wood with solid teak and holly flooring, accented with ash and poplar in designated areas insure your home away from home will always provide the style and comfort you expect.
More importantly, Valiant interiors are built like the exteriors, Strong! All furniture, whether horizontal or vertical, is fiberglass bonded to the hull and deck, insuring maximum strength.
The salon features a U-shaped settee on the port side that slides out to form a double berth, with a custom wine locker forward. On the starboard side is a straight settee. both settees make excellent sea berths and each are equipped with lee cloths.
Further aft on the starboard side is a forward facing nav station followed by a large pantry with pullout drawers to access all your stores. Opposite the nav station is the oversized galley which has a deep double stainless steel sink, Grohe faucet, General Ecology/Seagull water filter, a 3 burner gimballed stove and oven, along with a large fridge and freezer.
The Corian galley countertop is extended over the center-line to provide more work space and additional storage below. You will find storage abounds throughout this vessel and the galley is no different. Aft of the Galley is the aft stateroom with a queen berth and cedar lined convertible hanging locker. Starboard you will find the aft head with separate shower stall and access to the engine room (which provide excellent access to the engine and other systems).
