THE SABRE 36 EXPRESS MK II
Below deck the Sabre 36 Express is built in a traditional style using teak with a hand rubbed varnish reminiscent of the yachts of bygone days, yet fresh, modern, and efficient. Her teak and holly cabin sole, matching wood grains, louvered locker doors, laminated fiddles on her counters and seat backs all blend beautifully in this warm and mellow environment...an example of the superb craftsmanship Sabre is so well known for.
Her galley comes equipped with a standard 2-burner cooktop, microwave oven, an undercounter refrigerator/freezer, stainless steel sink and single lever faucet, making a very pleasant space in which to make meals along the way. Large opening ports and hatches provide ample ventilation to the cabin.
Forward and to port is the large head with shower. Access to this space is either from the main salon or the owner's stateroom forward. A fiberglass head pan makes clean-ups and maintenance a snap.
Opposite the galley is a comfortable U-shaped settee, a space to enjoy a fine meal or to relax while resting at anchor. Throughout the salon and galley are many lockers and cabinets for storage for the stores and gear you've brought along.
The master stateroom is a v-berth with filler cushion. There is generous storage in the many drawers and lockers. A cedar lined hanging locker is yet one more detail that defines the quality of this yacht. A large hatch overhead and several stainless steel opening ports provide ventilation and light to your space.
The Sabre 36 Express MKII modified deep-vee hull performs well in a variety of sea conditions. Strakes in the hull keep spray down while wide chines provide excellent stability at speed or at the dock.
This much desired Hard Top version includes a fiberglass top with a center opening windshield, two hatches overhead and sliding windows on either side. A short mast is included for mounting the radar array and electronics antennae. Whether it is to stay out of the heat or cold, the hard top version makes sense for many owners.
The deck of the Sabre 36 Express MKII was made for relaxation and enjoyment on the water. Only the Sabre Design Team could create a space which is so safe, secure and easy to move about.
Wide side decks allow the transition from cockpit to foredeck in complete safety and security, even in rough weather. Large diameter rails are always where you expect them to be. The wood "toe rail" provides an extra element of safety to the crew.
The beautifully sculpted stainless steel air intake grill is an elegant design feature on this well thought out and beautifully styled deck.
The helm pod provides all the space needed for the sophisticated electronic navigation equipment, the controls for the twin diesel engines, and the mahogany tilt steering wheel.
