This is a fresh water vessel with few hours on the engine and in excellent condition. The J/32 was designed to be a performance cruising vessel for a couple or small family. This boat has the slide out settee double berth option so she accommodates 5 for sleeping. The forward cabin has 6’6” berths w/4” cushions. The main salon has 6’4” berths. Seemingly as roomy as a 40-footer, the 6’3” headroom is carries way into the forward cabin. Opening ports are at eye level so you can see the horizon. There is a nav station, enclosed private head and shower and efficient galley with Corian countertops. A unique walk through port enables you to walk from the galley into the huge starboard cockpit sail locker – great for gaining access to other gear without opening the companionway hatch on a rainy night. The storage is incredible with the idea that none of your gear should take up any living area of the boat. Outside, she has a huge cockpit with all sail control lines easily accessible for the helmsperson. The traveler is right in front of the wheel so the boat can be easily sailed single-handed or by a couple. Roller furling keeps you off the foredeck. Despite the generous headroom in the cabin, you can still sit behind the wheel and see over the doghouse without having to stand. The cockpit has two huge seat sail lockers, huge lazerettes and a generous propane locker aft. It is so easy to work on this boat because you can fit down in the lockers to gain access to anything. Even the teak and holly sole inside can be totally removed to get at wires or hoses. An epoxy water barrier bottom was applied in 2010. The outstanding part is how she sails – like a dream and so easy, like all modern J/Boats. April 2012 Survey results: “The hull & deck were tested & no signs of abuse. Superstructure was found to be strong showing no signs of delamination. Moisture readings were within normal levels. No core wicking or excess moisture levels. No blistering – a good finding”. | ||
