Completely furnished quarters with sleeping facilities for 4 persons, located in the deck house, consisting of first floor Master bedroom and full bathroom with shower, a sitting room that could be converted to another small bedroom and adjoining office that was added six years ago.
The second floor has a full size kitchen with all full sized appliances with an attached 1/2 Bath. Dinning room and Living room open floor-plan concept and an exterior porch with stairs to the roof top deck area.
This home has a length of 48' and width of 16', this two story house will give you over 1500 sq. ft. of living area on the water. Design Characteristics of the Barge
The barge was designed and constructed under the owners direction, who is a professional engineer involved in various overseas construction projects. The concrete used in the construction was enhanced using components that provided extra strength and hardness.
Watertight hull consisting of one compartment constructed of water proof (10,500 lb. compression) enhanced concrete.
Hull Form: Constructed of waterproof enhanced concrete wit 9" thick bottom, 6" thick sides and a wood frame top support the two story house.
Superstructure Form: House sides constructed with 4' x 16' x 6" Styrofoam panels sandwiched between 1/2" thick oriented strand board. The original vinyl siding was replaced eight years ago.
Mooring fittings; There are three on each side and both ends, pad eyes inset into the concrete to be used as mooring devices.
Barge free-board to the weather deck is 2 feet.
240/120 volt power supply from dockside shore power, with main switch panel, distribution/breaker panels, transformers for low voltage circuits, switch boxes, motor control boxes and plastic covered marine grade wiring. Weathertight industrial type exterior fixtures. Standard household type interior fixtures.
LP Gas System
Two, DOT approved 10 lb. steel tanks located in bottle rack on exterior deck/pier, with manual shut-off valve at tank, manifold, pressure gauge, regulator, copper piping.
Separate lines from locker with independent shut-off valves for each appliance. System installed to NFPA Standards.
