Enriched with a cherry stained interior finish and "Oyster" Ultraleather cushions in the main salon, the Oceanis 461 has a traditional 2 Cabin layout. A large inline queen forward with a full private head, moving aft is a large salon settee to starboard with a removable center leaf to the dinette table, which also converts to a double sleeping berth. A long berth settee and Nav. station is to port, with maximum headroom of 6'5 throughout. Very large U shape galley sits to starboard of companionway with full amenities and ample storage. A large double aft stateroom with private access to full head to port. Great lighting and ventalation is provided with 7 opening deck hatches and 12 opening portholes all with screens. The engine room is under the companionway steps which are raised with the help of pneumatic lifting arms. Additional access is from the galley and aft stateroom.
The galley counters are solid surface white and provide ample working surface for meal preparation. A large storage locker is forward under the counter with a Force Ten three burner stove aft and double stainless steel sink next aft along the outboard counter. An Adler Barbour refrigerator/freezer with top opening freezer and front opening refrigerator is along the aft counter with microwave mounted above. Storage is available in three cabinets with louvered vents outboard the counter, small cabinet outboard of the microwave and under the sink. The trash can which is under the forward counter can also be accessed through an opening in the forward portion of the counter. There are two opening ports and an opening hatch for ventilation with an additional fixed port in the hull side.

The deck layout of the Beneteau 461 is well thought out. All lines are led aft to sheet stoppers and winches on the cabin top. The main halyard winch is electric and all the halyards can be led to this winch if extra power is needed. Bow pulpit and stern pulpit are SS with double lifelines and gates, and there is a double stainless steel bow roller. Forward is a large, enclosed chain locker with ample space for chain and rode. The electric windlass is located in the locker. For work at the mast, there is the protection and convenience of granny bar. Well placed SS handrails on the cabin top offer safe hand holds for going forward. The cockpit is great for entertaining, there is a large console cockpit table and bimini offering protection from the sun and rain. The transom seat lifts up for an open pass through to the swim platform with its fold down swim ladder. There is a draining storage locker in the platform, two large lazarettes in the cockpit and propane storage in the port aft locker.
